Le poulet général tao & le poulet aux arachides sont excellents. Très bon service.View more
Best general Tao chicken! Been visiting work cafe for over 5 years & the taste has always been consistent. Keep up the good work! I recommend trying the sesame beef & salt & pepper squid.View more
I feel terrible. I've never reviewed this place before! I've been going here for years; I used to work right by here. The Chinese food is amazing & for a great price, whether you're doing takeout or dining in. This place has consistently delivered me quality for the last eight years. My go-to order is General Tao, wonton, fried rice, & peanut butter dumplings. You won't be disappointed. Keep it up!View more
After seeing you on TV last night Susan, we feel compelled to write this review, as two long-time customers who always enjoyed their food when dining at your restaurant. Your Wok Cafe has a BIG problem that needs to be fixed ASAP. My sister & I have been eating at your Wok Cafe Restaurant for many years; we have recommended it to several friends, but last week's experience was so disappointing!! Wong-Ton Soup -- cold. Egg Rolls -- cold & burnt. General Tao Chicken -- over-cooked, hard to cut with a knife even, had more batter than chicken within & again, the dish was cold. Chicken Fried Rice -- cold. Our peanut-butter dumplings which were to be an appetizer, arrived after our main meal, & they too were cold, plus definitely not as good as on previous occasions! You mentioned that you were looking for cooks as two had recently left, which is a big problem if you want to keep your customers satisfied & coming back. Wallace left a year or more ago & he was a great "stand-in" person, server, prepared dumplings, helped cook, etc. Ralph one of your delivery persons is a great gentleman & always comes to say hello & have a chat with us & he too mentioned that you were hurting for cooks. We live around the corner from your Kirkland Wok Cafe, however, one experience there when it opened a few years ago was enough -- the person managing this restaurant was rude & the food was not up to the the standards of your restaurant off Sources. We always thought your restaurant was terrific/delicious & we couldn't wait to go back, but you need to fix your problem now before it is too late & you lose customers, good ones, like us! Please accept this review from two of your loyal customers who sincerely want you to maintain your status of being the best Chinese Restaurant in the West island.View more
First time here. Service was great & the General tao was very good.View more
Really tasty food, generous portions & excellent customer service. General Tao wasn't as spicy as I'm use to.

My friends & I went to the Wok Cafe on Sources for the first time yesterday. The first thing we were impressed by was the open kitchen & how clean & organized it looked. Next, we read of the biggest menus & chose our main dishes & entrees (general tao tofu, curry tofu & spicy tofu...lots of veggie options!). We were served our food in a very reasonable time & it was soooo good. Their portions aren't especially huge, but we did bring home leftovers, each of which is enough for a full meal. One small detail I really liked was how deliberate the actions were of our server when putting our food in take home containers: he made sure to keep the rice, veggies & protein separated. We will definitely go back!
Based on the good reviews, our group ate at WOK with positive expectations. What a disappointment! From the surly manager who seated us (& was very cranky when we asked for a different table than where he wanted us, despite the place being empty) to having to ask for cutlery, to the truly awful food: General Tao with lots of fried batter, & rarely any chicken inside, to the shrimp in lobster sauce that turned out to be a bland bunch of tiny shrimp floating in some tasteless brown sauce, to ginger beef that had no flavour at all except for some ginger slices in the brown sauce - everything was bland & lazily prepared. Our finished plates consisted of lots of rejected food & a pile of fried batter. The tea was good, the won ton soup was really good, & the secondary waiter who brought us one or two items was very nice with a smile. Will not go back.
