Général Tau chicken with fried rice was amazing. Fresh & tasty. I had given it a bad review during the pandemic. They are still open so I figured they improved their food. I gave them another chance & was really surprised at how good the food was. Not to mention their prices are still reasonable.
Food was really good, quickly filled us up & didn't even finish half - price is reasonable & good. Ambiance is nice & clean, you can also see the kitchen - which looked clean as well! The server was really nice too. I'm definitely coming back here or making a delivery or take out order.
Wok Cafe has been our go-to Chinese takeout resto for some time. It's been a while since we ordered & I did so with trepidation because of the negative reviews here. We had guests, & when the doorbell rang (delivery was a little slow but not terrible) I was holding my breath... concerns unfounded. The food was still hot, tasty & up to expectations. Good size portions... enough for leftovers. General Tzao was nicely spicy & not overly battered; shrimp with Chinese broccoli 😋; Singapore noodles 🌶️ & beef with ginger 🫚. Thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you for meeting our expectations!
I always order Pad Thai from here weekly which have always been very good. This weekend, i decided to order my pad thai through uber eats along with salt & pepper tofu. Once again, & for the past 4-5 times I've ordered salt & pepper tofu, it was hard, dry, stale & way overcooked. Like they re-fried it from leftovers from the day before. It was inedible. Super disappointing & regret ordering it again. Will now only get salt & pepper tofu from Sheng Tai. For the same amount at almost half the price - it's way better, juicy & flavourful. Not pleased!!

As far as West Island Chinese food goes, we have tried many. This is definitely the best Chinese food in West Island. My rating is based on the food & the location. Good & very consistent. We have had takeout many times as well as Ethan in the restaurant. They are surprisingly fast, even when they are busy. If you don't want to go too far & you are in West Island, definitely the place to go for Chinese.
We are here on Monday night. First time with my daughter & the owner waitress were amazing they are friendly & very welcoming. I actuslly haven't been welcomed & spoken with like that in a long time. We will definitely be back

Had issues with my egg rolls, usually very good, home made, but came home to eat with guests & was burnt… inside :( … called them, Susan, was understanding, explained new cook & refilled my order. A bit better, hopefully learns to fry them better over time. 😅 Really appreciated the service 😉 --- Follow up is that they are great & the food was perfect… best egg rolls in the West Island ;)
Best general Tao chicken! Been visiting work cafe for over 5 years & the taste has always been consistent. Keep up the good work! I recommend trying the sesame beef & salt & pepper squid.

i don't normally write reviews but this places deserves one. this is the place i go with my parents, the service is top shelf. my dad enjoys his time there because of how the people treat us, joking around with him & matching our energy. they're just kind people it's nice to find places like this still. thank you❤️
