Finally got the opportunity to try White Heron Coffee after they moved! First the all the vibe was amazing! Very aesthetic, quite enough to do some work or have a small chat! Now the food, the ube donut was delicious (not too sweet)! I had a sakura matcha, I did not like the sakura (tasted like medicine) but I tried the matcha first before mixing & it was good. I'm not big on matcha but I felt like venturing today. Definitely coming back for some coffee & cake!
Update:
Came back for some coffee & cake, it was delicious! The strawberry shortcake is very light & tasty. My iced latte was nice & refreshing. This place might become my go to coffee shop!View more
Love this cafe!
- Very smiley & friendly staff
- They make one of the best flat whites in Montreal
- It's very clean (I noticed a member of staff clean a table immediately after a customer left)
- Lively, productive environment to get a couple of hours of work done inView more
Clean & aesthetic place to stop in for a drink or to get a little work done. The iced matcha was very tasty & nice & foamy!View more
Great atmosphere & presentation! They also have unique menu items, like a passion fruit matcha latte, which I really enjoyed, & a pandan madeleine. I think the pandan flavour could have been a little stronger & the texture was a bit flaky, but it wasn't too sweet.View more
Love the clean aesthetic design, although there are no plugs to charge your devices.View more
Quite possibly the most beautifully presented cake I've seen in years. Refined & elegant! (Almost regal)
The cake is exceptionally fresh, light, moist & the slight tang of the yuzu paired with the light nutty flavour of the hojicha was perfection!
Thanks for making my 35th birthday extra special!View more
View more
absolutely delicious! the drinks & food were tasty & well-balanced, the prices were fair & the owner was so kind - can't wait to go back & try more things!View more
Confortable place to enjoy coffee with a piece of cake, but overpricedView more
Quite good coffee & atmosphere.
Edit 2025: The taste of a resto / cafe's toilet is make or break & it looks like this one hasn't been properly cleaned in ages. 3 stars & a hard pass until cleanliness improves.View more
Best latte in Montreal.
They use Ethiopian beans (which I prefer) on regular & have another bean type on rotation. Very balanced taste, doesn't leave you dehydrated or heartburned. The cakes & pastries are made on the spot & are always fresh. Note that they are Japanese style, so low sugar; don't expect an American diabetes experience.
The service is very friendly & they always insist on bringing the food to the table. They have loyalty cards which is a pleasant addition for those who come here often. Coffee beans available for sale.
The café itself is light, spacious, airy & clean. A pleasant experience to sit in overall.View more
I love coming here to grab a piece of cake! The cake is the fluffiest thing ever & the authentic Japanese style ! Weekends are mostly packed, so highly recommended coming here on weekdays if possible. On top of the food, the staff are always very friendly & welcoming :)View more
Visited on Saturday afternoon.
Clean & cozy place.
I love their cakes because it's light & not too sweet.
Found that the seats by the window are not so comfortable especially to eat, however, I still like the vibe of the cafe.
It's a perfect place to chat with friends over tasty drinks & desserts. Wish they open a bit longer than 4pm on weekendsView more
Popped in to rest my tired feet & wait for hotel check in time. Service was fine if not lukewarm. Immediately after I ordered, a rush of people came including online & in person orders. My espresso based drink & snack took 20 minutes. If I wasn't killing time, I likely would have cancelled order & left. Misto was fine, madeleines were dry & lacked flavour. I also received wrong flavour but as I sat across from customers (ordered after me) who ordered same thing, notices they got the last two. If my feet weren't killing, I likely would have contined to wander & explore.View more
The cafe owner (I think) told me that the place has a white & clean concept & it really comes through
They actively keep the place clean & tidy
The Earl gray donut was so good with the hojicha latte that I went for a second one!
This place has WiFi & would be such an amazing place to work out of during the day!View more
Best cafe ever & atmosphere unfortunately small relatively & no plugsView more
Favourite café of all time. Wish they were open longer for longer study sessionsView more
