Coming from Toronto, it's not difficult to find, amazing authentic Greek foods there. However, I think I took Montreal's Greek food scene for granted because Village Grec absolutely exceeded my expectations. It's no surprise because this restaurant is located in Montreal's Greek neighbourhood (Parc Extension). Their souvlakis are super tender especially when they're hugged in a warm, fluffy pita. But by far, their most famous dish is their village grec gyro pita which is my personal favourite. I loved how soft, & tender the meat was & with the tzatziki sauce the whole dish just melts in your mouth. Honestly, I think their souvlakis & gyros probably beats any Greek restaurants I've eaten at in Danforth, Toronto (TO's Greek town). The place can get busy, but the wait is so worth it. Village Grec truly doesn't disappoint & only elevates Montreal's food scene even more with its authentic Greek cuisine.
One of the best gyros & tzatziki in my opinion. The portions are generous, with tons of meat & tzatziki. Calamaris are also delish. & you can actually share a plate without paying extra. The flat fries are not fantastic, but somehow they serve them in a lot Greek restaurant. Pay a little extra to get the house fries, so much better! I'm not a fan of the traditional Greek music either but hey it's called Greek Village so they give you the full experience!
The ppl here are amazing my brother & I have been coming here for years & they never disappoint, the owner the staff 10 out of 10 everyone should come here especially If ur a tourist visiting best food around 😋

This Greek restaurant has such a warm, nostalgic vibe, with vintage photos & a cozy, old-world atmosphere that immediately drew us in.
We arrived around 7:30, & although the food took a bit of time to arrive, it was absolutely worth the wait - everything was fresh, flavorful, & high quality.
The staff was extremely polite, friendly & attentive, regularly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better.
Time flew by, & by the time we left around 10 PM, we were the last customers there.
This place has definitely become one of our favorite spots for enjoying a relaxed evening together.
I live in Toronto .. & I ALWAYS come here for Souvlaki. It is the BEST souvlaki I have ever had. Been coming here since I was a kid. & it's still my number one spot ! Must try . Won't be disappointed
The food was really good i really enjoyed it! Everything is grilled on the charcoal & it makes everything better. The portion is really generous too! Highly recommend .

Village Grec offre la meilleure assiette Donner de la planète. C'est vraiment de la bouffe pour « l'homme affamé ». Attention, c'est une portion énorme qui peut nourrir une petite famille, mais vous êtes assuré de vous endormir après & de faire les rêves les plus délicieux.
Village Grec has the best Donner plate on the planet. It's truly'hungry man' food. Be warned, it's a huge serving that can feed a small family, but you are guaranteed to fall asleep after & have the most delightful dreams.
Ce n'est pas le meilleur gyros que j'ai mangé : la viande était bien cuite mais fade, avec beaucoup de morceaux de gras & les frites industrielles étaient molles & sans goût.
Le prix est raisonnable compte tenu de la quantité, le service a été rapide & l'accueil chaleureux.
The only deception is to be served frozen fries! The meat is extremely delicious
Long time customer but not returning. Very noticeable drop off in food quality & service. Entree & main served at the
same time. Tzatziki entrée came without the usual Kalamata olives & oregano, tasteless tzatziki, & 3 slices of burnt bread for two. Gyro pita wasn't as good or generous as it used to be.
