I have been eating here for over 30 years the food is authentic & delicious! Now that I live out of Province I still come back to have a Gyro every year.
Coming from Toronto, it's not difficult to find, amazing authentic Greek foods there. However, I think I took Montreal's Greek food scene for granted because Village Grec absolutely exceeded my expectations. It's no surprise because this restaurant is located in Montreal's Greek neighbourhood (Parc Extension). Their souvlakis are super tender especially when they're hugged in a warm, fluffy pita. But by far, their most famous dish is their village grec gyro pita which is my personal favourite. I loved how soft, & tender the meat was & with the tzatziki sauce the whole dish just melts in your mouth. Honestly, I think their souvlakis & gyros probably beats any Greek restaurants I've eaten at in Danforth, Toronto (TO's Greek town). The place can get busy, but the wait is so worth it. Village Grec truly doesn't disappoint & only elevates Montreal's food scene even more with its authentic Greek cuisine.

I had to share how much we loved Village Grec. Our team was working on a project nearby, & we decided to try this spot. We ended up eating here every single day for a week! The food is amazing-authentic Greek flavors that really taste like they come from a family recipe. Everything we tried was packed with flavour & always hit the spot.
