Review Summary

Village Grec is widely celebrated as a cornerstone of authentic Greek cuisine in Montreal, consistently praised for its delicious gyros, tender souvlaki, and flavorful tzatziki. Guests frequently highlight the generous portions, affordable pricing, and the warm, unpretentious atmosphere that evokes the feeling of a traditional Mediterranean taverna. While the dining experience is often described as nostalgic and cozy, the attentive and friendly service remains a standout feature for both locals and tourists alike. Although some minor inconsistencies with side dishes or online ordering have been noted, the restaurant remains a beloved institution where visitors can enjoy high-quality, fresh ingredients in a welcoming environment.

Ordered online for pickup ..specified twice I wanted a pork Souvlaki
When I got there, they hadn't even started my order waited an extra 15 mns. After I brought the order to my mother ..the Souvlaki turned out
to be made with BEEF & not PORK. It was tough & she did not enjoy it.
Also the Souvlaki was SMALL, not worth the $6.paid.

The floors very very greasy which made it very dangerous to navigate in the restaurant.

We arrived at around 7:30 PM & there was only two other tables occupied. We still had to wait a long time for menu's. To the point where we had to ask the girl at the cash for them.

Our food sat at the pick up counter getting cold because our waitress was tending to a new table of six that entered. Once again, I had to ask the cashier to bring us our order.

Food was only average & lukewarm. I had the pork souvlaki, my friend had the gyro. Service was horrible. Will not be going back.
