I've had my fair share of letdowns when it comes to Peruvian food in Montreal, especially those places on Saint-Hubert Av. But Villa Wellington in Verdun is one exception you won't want to miss.
Let's cut to the chase: Lomo Saltado here is pretty darn decent. The beef is flavorful & comes with a generous portion of crispy fries & rice-just like back home.
The Seco con Frejoles & Choritos a la Chalaca are also solid choices, each with a comforting, home-style vibe that's hard to find in this city.
Prices? Totally fair, especially considering the generous portions. You'll leave full & happy without feeling like you've overpaid.
The vibe is cozy & unpretentious-definitely a family-run spot that feels authentic. Service is friendly, even when the place gets busy (& it does-so book ahead!).
I'll definitely be back for another round of Lomo Saltado-& maybe next time, I'll finally try the Piqueo Wellington sampler!

My family & I have been going for over 20 years. It's always been the same family that own the restaurant. This is easily the best Peruvian food in Montreal that I've tried. Some of the best calamari, their ceviche is awesome, their chicken, beef, yuca, salad, everything I've tried was amazing. Also they have the best green hot sauce ever.Voir plus
Frankly, one of the best place to eat in Montreal! The food is amazing, the quality of the meat is impressive & the portions are very big. The service is also great, you feel as if you're a part of their family. The atmosphere is also really nice, making you feel as if you're really in Peru & not in Verdun.
