Villa Wellington in Verdun serves Peruvian cuisine composed mainly of grilled meats and seafood. Sample menu: Cream of shrimp, broiled stuffed potatoes, grilled shrimps, grilled chicken breast, fish or seafood ceviche, Jalea (Platter of breaded seafood), Parihuela (large seafood soup) broiled trout, grilled lamb cutlets, vegetarian, "Canadian" dishes, crème caramel, rice pudding and cake of the day. Villa Wellington offers an excellent value for your money. The ambiance at villa Wellington is charming and traditional, the main window is filled with vines and hanging plants. The walls are filled with Peruvian hats, posters and crafts. The tables have the same brightly-coloured cloth and simple paper place mats. If you enjoy Peruvian beer, you'll be glad to know that Villa Wellington carries Cerveza Cusqueña. They also serve their famous soda drink called Inca Kola.

The portion size for most dishes at our table was great. I ordered ceviche unfortunately though & was told it would be 220 grams, I love ceviche & have eaten it a lot & they served me 100 grams max for $28 which I thought was unreasonable.View more

The servers & personnel are very friendly & helpful & since the restaurant has a patio, we enjoyed the music & people dancing across the street.
The food is prepared in a traditional way, with few condiments & a good portion size. I had the ceviche & the grilled octopus, they were good but not great. I will give it a 3.5 rating in the seafood but it is not an option. I'll come back & try beef or chicken dishes.View more

The food here was absolutely great! We had the piqueo wellington, & it was the perfect way to sample a little bit of some important dishes from the menu!! highly recommended if it's your first time. Their ceviche was amazing, super fresh & full of flavor! For dessert, we had the suspiro limeno, which was such a treat. It's the first time I've seen a Peruvian restaurant actually offer it, & they had it available. Loved the whole experience!View more

AMAZING service & the food was impeccable! Delicious! We were a big group & everybody enjoyed their meals. We had the calamari, nachos, mixed ceviche, & chicken fajitas. Everybody else from our group had different meals but they were all appetizing. Our waiter went above & beyond. We were celebrating two birthdays & the staff came out singing. My family & I have been going for over 20 years. It's always been the same family that own the restaurant. This is easily the best Peruvian food in Montreal that I've tried. Some of the best calamari, their ceviche is awesome, their chicken, beef, yuca, salad, everything I've tried was amazing. Also they have the best green hot sauce ever.View more
