Review Summary

Villa Wellington is widely described as a lively family run Peruvian restaurant with warm, friendly service and generous portions. The ceviche and other seafood specialties are repeatedly praised for freshness and authentic flavor, with dishes like lomo saltado, anticuchos and causas receiving high marks, though some meals were noted as tastier than others. The ambiance is described as welcoming and festive, with traditional decor and Latin music that fans say makes the dining experience feel authentic, and a patio adds to the overall vibe. Service is often highlighted as kind and attentive, but a few visits point to disorganized or slower service during busy times. Portion sizes are generally generous and value is considered good for the price, while a few reviews call for more consistent seasoning and avoid overly salty or bland preparations. Overall, Villa Wellington is seen as a standout Peruvian option in Verdun, delivering solid flavors, friendly staff and a casual, enjoyable atmosphere.

I've had my fair share of letdowns when it comes to Peruvian food in Montreal, especially those places on Saint-Hubert Av. But Villa Wellington in Verdun is one exception you won't want to miss.

Let's cut to the chase: Lomo Saltado here is pretty darn decent. The beef is flavorful & comes with a generous portion of crispy fries & rice-just like back home.

The Seco con Frejoles & Choritos a la Chalaca are also solid choices, each with a comforting, home-style vibe that's hard to find in this city.

Prices? Totally fair, especially considering the generous portions. You'll leave full & happy without feeling like you've overpaid.

The vibe is cozy & unpretentious-definitely a family-run spot that feels authentic. Service is friendly, even when the place gets busy (& it does-so book ahead!).

I'll definitely be back for another round of Lomo Saltado-& maybe next time, I'll finally try the Piqueo Wellington sampler!

Not perfect, but for Montreal, this is as close as it gets for Peruvian comfort food. It's worth it!

This place is a classic for my peruvian in-law family. I love the ceviche mixto there. Most food is really good. Some things are hit or miss. Overall always a good expérience for authentic peruvian food

The food was so good & authentic (less spicy though). I've been looking for a Peruvian restaurant for so long since I don't like Solymar anymore & this one has good options for food so I definitely recommend it!
