Bem-vindos a Viana! Antonio et Celeste Da Costa d'un petit village du nord du Portugal, ont été inspirés par l'idée de traverser l'océan pour créer une vie meilleure pour eux et leurs enfants. Ils ont immigré au Canada en 1978 et se sont installés dans l'arrondissement de Lasalle au début des années 1980. En 1984, leur fils, Carlos Costa, a commencé à travailler dans un établissement réputé de Montréal, Jano Grillades. Il a travaillé pendant près de 30 ans et a acquis une connaissance profonde de la cuisine portugaise. Carlos et son fils Fabio partageaient une passion pour le travail acharné et l'industrie de la restauration. Avec l'aide et le soutien de sa femme Ines et de sa fille Vanessa, ils ont décidé en famille de se lancer dans un projet de passion qui leur permettrait de réaliser un rêve. En tant que fiers Luso-Canadiens, Fabio et Vanessa ont été inspirés par la ville natale de leur père, Viana do Castelo, où ils passaient leurs vacances chaque été. Viana est un hommage à leur patrimoine, et un lieu où ils peuvent partager et multiplier l'amour qu'ils ont pour leur culture. Obrigado!

Althought I didn't find it as spicy as I wanted to be, the chicken is really tender & you can really taste the freshness. (idk if that makes sense but it's a way of saying it's delicious & i will come back again) Thankfully, the spicy sauce still adds the flavour i like in a chicken. Great for students from the college near by the restaurant to take a quick lunch during their break time. Also I highly HIGHLY recommend their dessert Pastel del Nata. Truly delightful ✨ edit: after checking some reviews, I noticed that I tried this restaurant in the period of the newest adminsitration, so perhaps the experience may vary for new & old customers.Voir plus

Absolutely a must go to restaurant I saw this place by chance when I went to the restaurant next door & decided to give it a try & I'm so glad I did. I met Andy who was super nice & I was in a hurry so I asked for the quickest thing & he recommended the chicken sandwich & fries. They were amazing & there sauce I could drink it like a shooter. The food isnt the same as it use to. My family & i were loyal clients & would always order & the food was fantastic. Ever since that sad tragedy, the food is not what it was. I used to always order a chorizo poutine & when i asked for it again recently when it reopened i was extremely disappointed. The fries were not as tasteful, & the gravy… well it wasnt even gravy it was straight up liquid sauce. The portions were not the same & the chicken salad did not live up to its previous expectations.Voir plus

Oh my goodness, I don't believe what I discovered! This incredible little Portuguese restaurant tucked away in Ville Lasalle is an absolute treasure. The staff there are just the best, I mean seriously, they're absolutely amazing! & let me tell you about the new management duo - they're actually cousins & watching them work together is an absolute riot, so hilarious! Can't believe I have never heard about it until now.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my, it was exceptional! I mean, sure, there was a teensy-weensy mistake with the order, but honestly, it was no big deal at all. The manager immediately noticed & took care of it right away, & get this, they went above & beyond by offering us a steaming cup of coffee & the most delicious pastel da nata, which just so happens to be my absolute favorite! I was in heaven!

Truly tragic circumstances around what happened to this beloved restaurant's prior owners. First of all I truly wish the best throughout the difficulties - it is never easy to restart. Regarding the food & service itself under the new ownership; there are some noticeable differences from before. My colleagues & I went on a few separate occasions over the past couple of weeks & have the same comments about the food & experience. Although still ok, there were some noticeable issues. I would like to privately share our experiences with the new owners. If you can respond to this review with an email address where I can write to you, I would like to give some feedback that could be used constructively. I really would like Vianna to succeed & flourish like it used to, but several of us think some changes will be necessary. Thank you - I look forward to communicating with you.Voir plus

Came here with my sister's family from out of town cuz they were one of the few places in the area with good reviews .100% what I had expected! Did not disappoint at all.
The service was great & our waitress was super sweet.very knowledgeable & patient,because we could not make our minds, so definitely hands down on that.
She suggested a couple of items & we decided to take her suggestions & I'm glad we did.
The hospitality was wonderful & our waitress keep coming to check up on us
I highly recommend a visit to this great place.

Premiere visite à ce restaurant si attendu a Lasalle.
Ouvert depuis moins d'un mois.
Habituellement je donne à un restaurant quelques mois de rodage avant d'y aller mais je ne pouvais attendre.
Un restaurant abordable,sympathique & chaleureux.
Bel acceuil dans notre arrivée, ça commence bien.
Il faut commander au comptoir du menu très court.
Poulet, boeuf ou côtelette de porc.
J'aime mieux un restaurant qui a un menu limité & qui est bon dans ce qu'il sert qu'un restaurant avec 95 choix médiocres.
En entrée le chorizo était le vrai de vrai légèrement relevé .
Le poulet grillé avec sa sauce piri-piri etait excellent.
Les frites maison qui accompagnent chaque assiette sont aussi délicieuse.
Aussi disponible un repas familial pour apportez & une Poutine portugaise.
Les Pastel De Nata sont de vrais petits bijoux.
Un de mes desserts favoris.
