Très bon repas entre collègues au Bistro Vallier ce midi ! Dommage qu'ils ne proposent plus de table d'hôte, mais les portions sont généreuses. Le tartare était délicieux & bien assaisonné, accompagné d'une salade fraîche & croquante. Les frites, servies à part, étaient bien croustillantes. Le gâteau aux carottes était excellent, même si la portion était un peu trop grosse ! Service rapide & efficace, parfait pour un lunch. On a eu un peu froid, mais l'ambiance restait agréable. I had a fantastic meal here! I started with the French onion soup, which was absolutely delicious-the cheese was perfectly crispy, & the bread had the ideal crunch. I also tried the Brussels sprout salad with shredded duck. While it was my least favorite dish of the night (mainly because I'm not a huge fan of duck), it was still really good. I do wish it had more Brussels sprouts, but the thick, flavorful bacon was a standout! For my main dish, I had the vol-au-vent, & it was one of the best comfort foods I've ever had. It wasn't too heavy & reminded me of chicken pot pie in phyllo dough-it was absolutely delicious, & I highly recommend it! For drinks, I originally asked for rosé, but they didn't have it. The server recommended Prosecco instead, & I'm so glad they did-it was amazing!Voir plus

We spotted this place by walking by, driven by the cozy atmosphere & pretty decor we decided to make a reservation for dinner the next day. We indicated we were two couples with two babies, & a table with a great amount of space was waiting for us, which made us feel instantly welcome. The atmosphere was pretty local & easy going, we even made some friends with two girls that were dining solo (one was reading a book accompanied with a drink)! The food was just AMAZING; we had the gnocchi Mac & cheese, the lamb, the mushroom raviolis, shepherds pie & meatballs (in order of favorite to less favorite). For dessert we had pudding Chomeur & crème brûlée. Even the cappuccinos were amazing. This was our last night at Montreal & couldn't have been happier with the choice. Can't recommend this place enough, thanks to all the staff for making it a great evening, & of course the kitchen & bar staff as well. We will definitely come back!!!Voir plus

We stumbled here by chance & were impressed with this lovely bistro. I had the best French Onion Soup with real Gruyère cheese & beer broth & al. The Entrecôte Steaks were also wonderful. Great wine selection. We went with Sicilian Option. Finally dessert & Cafe Macchiato was great finale!Voir plus

We visited Vallier Bistro as part of the MTL à Table event, & it was a memorable experience. While the service was a bit slow, the overall experience more than made up for it. The Toblerone martini was the highlight of the evening-it's absolutely divine, almost addictive, like a dessert & a cocktail rolled into one. The food was equally impressive, especially the oysters, which were fresh & perfectly prepared. Every bite & sip felt indulgent. The beef tartare was also divine. The location is ideal, & the ambiance inside is classy & elegant, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion or an upscale evening out. Despite the slow service, I'd return in a heartbeat for the drinks, food, & atmosphere.Voir plus

I stopped by after a long day & had an early dinner of mussels & fries. Absolutely perfect. Look at the photos: a delightful simple salad, then the mussels & yummy fries. I wanted an after dinner drink but didn't know which one to have. The waitress recommended the Pineau des Charentes which was amazing. I can't wait to visit again when I'm in town.Voir plus

Made reservation online. Show up & the restaurant is closed. Website hours said open, Google said open, & I think even the front door hours said open. So, I guess call & make sure they're open & reserve that way.Voir plus

Je change mon avis de 5* après être revenu après 3ans. Le service est devenu lent, nous avons été servi par un certain B* au service du soir, qui a été vraiment très désagréable toute la soirée. Nous étions un groupe de 8 personnes pour fêter un anniversaire. Il ne méritait clairement pas les 18% de pourboire proposé au minimum par la machine. Avec un total d'environ 65$ par personne. Le calamar en entrée n'est pas spécialement bon ni frais. Les plats principaux sont juste corrects. Les desserts sont congelés, & très fades. le fondant au chocolat n'est pas fait maison, ni la sauce chocolat. La présentation & les goûts du pouding chômeur sont peut-être à revoir. Stopped in late, a couple on their way out told us we were making the right choice, & they were right! Very friendly waitstaff, great food. The maple pudding is an exceptional dessert, not to be missed. Definitely worth a visit.Voir plus
