Avec son décor moderne d'acier inoxydable, l'ambiance y est parfaite pour une soirée ou un dîner décontractés. De la pizza aux pâtes en passant par les omelettes classiques, sans oublier les plats plus raffinés de veau, les brochettes et les imposants sandwichs à trois étages, Universel Déjeuners et Grillades a quelque chose pour tous les goûts. La carte des vins complète confirme la réputation de ce resto comme nouvelle destination de choix pour passer ses soirées, et la variété de bières pression québécoises démontre clairement que les propriétaires sont fiers de ce que les micros brasseurs d'ici ont à offrir. This location is next to a hotel & has an upscale ambiance. There is also a covered terrace in front just off the street. We ordered the banana strawberry Nutella toast & the combo eggs & waffle with extra toast. The coffee was additional. The waffle has syrup for the table included. The texture of the waffle was just a bit harder than I like but still okay. The french toast & potatoes were great. The portion sizes are quite generous. There is plenty of seating for one person up to medium-sized groups. The menu has vegetarian options for brunch & dinner.Voir plus

J'ai trouvé ce restaurant sur un site suggérant des lieux'family-friendly' & j'ai été très agréablement surprise. Nous étions deux couples avec 5 enfants (de 3 ans & moins!!) & le service était impeccable. Le staff était très gentil & conciliant & la nourriture était excellente.Voir plus

J'ai beaucoup aimé mon expérience à Universel. Nous y avons mangé pour le déjeuner, & c'était vraiment bon. J'ai trouvé les portions généreuses & les ingrédients de qualité. Vraiment pas mal de choix également. Mention spéciale pour notre serveuse Sarah qui était parfaitement serviable & très souriante. C'est toujours un gros plus. Service rapide également ! We went there Easter Sunday for breakfast & the service was horrible. The attitude of the staff is very unprofessional. We had to ask for everything instead they suppose to provide us by default. Example with egg breakfast combo with potatoes & toast. You suppose to have SALT PEPPER KETCHUP & JAM. But no they didn't even bother. I had to ask them. The pancakes for the kids were very hard & the chocolate milk portion was very very small... my kids didn't eat their pancakes. I had to ask for the coffee refill all the time. The waiter wasn't present . I had to look for him in order to ask for anything to be served.. The best thing in the end he comes with the bill woth TIPS included. I ask him why the tip is included, he said I have no choice to pay for it & it's a law. I have to give him 15% tip. My food order was 146$ & his tip was 22$ which equals to 168$. I told him I'll never give you a rip for bad service. He was insisting that I had no choice. So I ask for the manager & the manager is telling me the same thing. Also he start giving me excuses about the service. **he quote oh sir this us our fitmrst day for the terasse *** i replied since when this is a customer problem ...also I told him your service was bad & you still oblige me to pay him tip . He said sir. You have no choice, when I was discussing with him . One of his waiter had an audacity to interfere in the matter. I don't think the person was acting as a manager was actually a manager. I never had such an unprofessional behavior & 3rd class service. Honestly the food was good & expensive. I end up giving the waiter 15$ tip because I know they have to declare 7% tips of the total sales. I will not recommend anyone to go eat at that place. I really had a bad experience & ill highly recommend to stay away ....Voir plus
