About

Uncle Tetsu specializes in authentic Japanese cheesecake characterized by a signature light, fluffy texture that distinguishes it from denser Western counterparts. These iconic cakes are meticulously prepared using premium ingredients like high-quality cream cheese, fresh butter, and farm-fresh eggs to achieve a delicate balance of flavor. The baking process focuses on a precise soufflé-style technique that creates a soft, cloud-like consistency which melts instantly on the palate. Patrons frequently encounter the mesmerizing aroma of these freshly baked goods cooling on racks before being individually branded with the signature logo. Beyond the famous cheesecakes, the menu often features complementary treats like buttery madeleines and crisp rusk biscuits. This establishment maintains a focused approach to artisan baking, ensuring that every piece served adheres to rigorous standards of Japanese confectionery craftsmanship.

Review Summary

Uncle Tetsu is widely praised for its signature Japanese cheesecakes and tarts, which are frequently described as light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Many customers appreciate the consistent quality, fresh ingredients, and polite service, making these treats a popular choice for gatherings and special occasions. While the majority of feedback is positive and highlights the addictive texture of the desserts, some patrons find the shop locations crowded and note that items sell out quickly, necessitating early visits. A small minority of reviewers feel the flavor profile does not meet their personal expectations or preferences compared to denser cake varieties.

The go to Japanese bakery if you crave for bake soufflé cake. They also offer a few other different pastries but the best is to eat it while it's still warm & out of the oven. Make sure you drop by & try it.

It's a quaint little shop offering Japanese cheesecakes in three delightful flavors, along with tarts & cookies. My personal favorite is the original cheesecake, & their charming packaging adds to the experience. If you find yourself near the downtown area, it's definitely worth a try.

The only cheesecake you need to be happy & succeed in life. Usually cheesecakes turns you instantly obese. This one is like eating a cloud!
