Cette petite boulangerie typiquement japonaise est tout ce qu'il y a de plus pittoresque. L'entrée est étroite & donne directement sur la cuisine & les options à déguster! Ici, il s'agit bien d'un comptoir de service qui ne tiens aucune place assise. Nous étions deux, cloisonnés dans la petite entrée à annoncer notre choix & nous n'aurions pas pu être plus nombreux. L'accueil a été immédiat! Le sourire d'une dame prête à prendre notre commande: La nouveauté/saveur du mois: Hojicha! 🙌 Ni une ni deux, la commande se retrouve dans une belle boîte & dans un sac aux couleurs de l'enseigne. L'attention aux détails est digne de la réputation qu'on en fait. Les boîtes qui se coordonnent aux saveurs, le petit emballage pour préserver le précieux gâteau vient s'apposer comme un drap délicat, l'estampe "uncle tetsu" marque doucement la mie & même le petit autocollant refermant le paquet posséde son charme! Le seul conseil ici: Ne tardez pas trop avant de le déguster! C'est lorsqu'il vient d'être confié à vos mains qu'il est à son meilleur! Ce gâteau est aérien, moelleux comme jamais! Un nuage pour les papilles! Les saveurs sont délicates & divines! Ce petit dessert est un appel à la gourmandise, rien de moins! Uncle Tetsu est un trésor caché qu'il convient de trouver & retrouver encore! GROS coups de coeur gustatif & la saveur Hojicha mérite totalement & entièrement sa place sur le menu officiel! Je l'exige, rien de moins! 🤤🧡 Petit bémol: C'est un dessert qui est plutôt onéreux, mais vous en trouverez peu comme celui-là. Cela vaut le détour & aussitôt dégusté que l'envie d'y retourner pour une autre part (& d'autres dégustations) m'appelle!

Small shop for take out only. They have some of the fluffiest Japanese cheesecakes in Montreal. I took 3 different kind Original, Chocolate & Matcha. We enjoyed all of them but my personal favourite this time was the chocolate. Cheers
The Madeleine are fluffy & just awesome, only light butter taste with moderate sweetness

I usually buy from them, very polite & nice owner, I hope they keep it up like this cuz I never wanna go anywhere else for Madeleines :)
The service is efficient & is usually fast once you are inside the shop but there are sometimes line-ups outside. It's worth the wait though.
Keep in mind that this place is only meant for purchase; there are no tables to sit at & eat. They will pack your order carefully so it's easy to carry.
They offer a small variety of products (cheesecake, tart etc) & also offers them in a couple of flavors such as original, matcha & chocolate. From time to time they also introduce new designs such as the one in this picture for halloween, which was super cute!

I am updating my review, as a regular customer, to mention something I noticed in my recent purchases. The tarts (original & matcha flavours) seem to have been getting sweeter. The first time my family noticed it we thought it was just a one-off human error in measurement but it was just as sweet the next two times as well. One of the things we used to enjoy with the tarts was that it was a dessert & therefore sweet but not too sweet. We liked the hint of tangy in the sweet flavour but now it's just plain sweet. Maybe some people prefer it that way but it would be great if they could offer a reduced-sugar version as well.

Been a fan of Uncle Tetsu since they opened their location here in Montreal, & have purchased their cheesecakes, cookies & madeleines.
I’ve tried three of their Japanese cheesecake flavours & the original is definitely my favourite, the matcha comes in a close second & the chocolate third- though all three taste great regardless.
Yesterday, I stopped by at around 7:45pm & ordered their combo deal: buy 1 cheesecake & 4 madeleines, get 1 (5th) madeleine for free.
I went with their original cheesecake, 4 matcha madeleines & chose the original-flavoured madeleine as my 5th.
Safe to say that they most certainly did not disappoint, both the madeleines & the cheesecake.
The madeleines were moist (the matcha ones also had red beans inside, at the bottom), & after leaving the cheesecake in the fridge for a couple hours to cool down, it tasted amazing (just like how I remembered).
Moreover, the male worker who served me was polite & friendly. He quickly prepared my order & I left the shop very satisfied.
I’ll surely be coming by again when the cravings hit &/or when my friends & I plan a girls night, as you cannot go wrong with Uncle Tetsu’s light + fluffy cheesecake as a dessert.
The Japanese cheesecake was a delightful experience with its light, airy texture, perfect balance of sweetness, & impeccable presentation. They even make christmassy cheesecakes!!!
We had a strong craving for cake, so we opted for Uncle's original cheesecake. While ordering, we spotted a deal on madeleines, so we ordered four & received one free. Unfortunately, the chocolate madeleines were quite dry, & the matcha-flavored ones, though a bit more moist, were still on the dry side.
However, Uncle's original cheesecake never disappoints. It's delicate, delicious, & simply melts in your mouth. It's incredibly light, & we could easily devour an entire one without hesitation.
I was thrilled when I found out that there are Japanese cheesecakes in Montreal. They are very cheesy & light. We were very pleased 🥰
They also offer tarts & cupcakes. It's a pity they don't have their own seating area; you can only get them to go.

& le gâteau cheese cake est assez original & c’est à goûter! Mais ce n’est pas aussi incroyable que les tartelettes!!!!!!
