UMAMI RAMEN & IZAKAYA is the very first fully vegan ramen restaurant in Montreal.
Thanks to the import of a Japanese machine for making noodles, the establishment makes its own homemade noodles from organic wheat, in addition to making its broths, Tsukemono, kombucha and sprouts! The restaurant offers several varieties of ramen and small classics of Japanese Bistronomy in a vegan version. Whether we think of okonomiyaki, gyozas, Agedashi tofu or even tempeh Tonkatsu, Cédric and his team are happy to present to you every day, from starter to dessert, these revisited Japanese classics... just a few exclusives straight out of our kitchens. And who says Izayaka, of course, says refreshing beers, sumptuous wines, intoxicating cocktails, delicate sakes and other fine wine products. At Umami Ramen, we experience cruelty-free gastronomy at its best!

The restaurant is really beautiful. We tried the curry tempeh & spicy creamy kimchi ramen, as well as the okonomiyaki. Both ramens were tasty but could have been more flavourful. The okonomiyaki was delicious!View more
We were seated outside in there beautiful terrace . Delicious food, excellent service!View more
Lovely place. Excellent food & mocktails. Delightful staff. Great value. No sound treatment, so ambience is on the loud side if resto is full.View more
Love the creativity & ethos of the food, chic & relaxing atmosphere & professional yet warm serviceView more
View more
Food was okay but service was not too great. We needed to get up from our table to find a server to get what we needed a couple of times which would be fine otherwise. But at the end of the meal we left a 10% tip for a $122 invoice & the server complained about this & followed us outside of the restaurant. In the last 6 months we brought at least $1000 worth of business to this restaurant by bringing our friends/family on different occasions. This was too much. Never going back there & won't recommend.View more
I feel clean & healthy even thought I eat late. The next morning I don't feel so bad. The food doesn't have strong taste, still delicious. Cocktails are so nice & the service is great. The atmosphere is good. The terrace has Japanese vibe.View more
The food was tasty in general. The ramen's weren't the best i've ever had & the portions were tiny. Especially the fermented appetizer plate. It was so small it felt like a joke. The waiting staff was what saved the whole experience but to be honest I will not come back. I can make better food at home for about 1/10th of the price we paid.View more
Excellent !!! Toujours aussi bon 👍🙃😁🤪 Bravo à toute l'équipe !!!View more
Service was so so, meals delicous, good value & unusual flavors & dishes combination. Mocktails worth a try.View more
Waitress was phenomenal! Beware of parking out front; we got a ticket!View more
Price is reasonable. Food is hit & miss depending on the dish. The tantanmen was extremely salty. I couldn't taste the flavours because of the salt. Curry ramen was good & not too salty. If a lot of reviews are complaining about the salt levels then they should fix this issue. Overall, we will not come back because of the poor service & okay food - waited almost an hour just for 2 bowls of ramen.View more
J'ai tout aimé. Il est seulement dommage qu'aucun vin abordable ne soit disponible. Nourriture exceptionnelle & excellent service.View more
Cute little place. The food was very good. Definately recommend.View more
Super souper sur la terrasse (couverte, donc très pratique même s'il pleut), plats savoureux & cocktails originaux.View more
We could tell that the quality was great, but the 4 of us agreed that the meals were way too salty, especially the tofu in the miso ramens we took. We did appreciate our first courses though. The decor is very nice, however the place is kinda loud (but I have the feeling that's all Montréal places are loud..).View more
