This is a great place for breakfast if you're waiting for your flight. It's on the pricey side, but that's expected at an airport. Just be warned that coffee is an extra $4-$5 per cup. Otherwise, it's a great spot to eat past security in the International concourse.
First & last time dining here..
Me & my boyfriend decided to dine here as we had a long layover for our connecting flight. The service was ok. We each ordered a burger & drinks. As we were informed, it is restaurant policy to cook all burgers well done. Honestly, the meat was a bit dry but nothing to complain about.
After our meal, i asked for the check & paid by credit card. I did not opt to add a tip at that time. The waiter saw & immediately cancelled my transaction. He then explained that if i didn't add a tip, him & team wouldn't make much money as they rely on tips. I replied that tips aren't obligatory in most countries. He added that because i was from a certain country, I should be expected to add tips. My bf who is French asked what was the normal percentage & we selected that for the tip. I of course verified that he cancelled the previous transaction as he just crumpled the receipt.
Overall, i felt forced. The waiter could've handled the situation differently. If i was there alone, i wouldn't have changed my amount. The staff should be making a liveable wage. Our waiter could have also asked for a tip with a smile..
Thank you to Margarite for wonderful service. She was extremely pleasant & helpful. I loved the Latino music playing..when going on an international flight let's promote diversity!
The waiter took 25min before he came to take our order, after he said that the food would be out in 10min, which obviously never happened. It has been over 20min since he sais that & our flight is boarding in 5min & we still haven't gotten our food yet.
The staff are amazing & the food is great, it hot tasty 🤤 & service is fast. The prices are normal for food & drinks at all airports... It's a great place for people watching & enjoying a cold beverage before your flight ✈?!!! Stop by you won't be disappointed 🙂👍👍
The food was good for an airport restaurant, & the waiter was very detail-oriented & did a great job. Overall, the quality exceeded what you'd normally expect at an airport.
That said, be aware that service is very slow, even though it's careful & well done. Expect to spend over 60 minutes for a full meal. Definitely take this into account when planning around your flight.

After a bit of travel to get through the airport, I sat down at the bar & was served by the wonderful & attentive Cynthia. Drinks with actual alcohol in them & very good pizza. Have a seat & enjoy a break before your flight.
By airport standards, this spot is excellent! The crispy chicken was tasty & well-cooked, & the fries were fresh though not crispy. I was also pleasantly surprised to find Peroni on draft - always a nice touch. Overall, it's a decent & reliable place to grab dinner before your flight. Bonus points for the friendly & attentive staff - they really made the experience better! The prices are of course Airport scale!

Very disappointing experience at Ubar Restaurant inside YUL airport. For a sit-down place, the food was average, overpriced, & the service was shockingly poor. Our waiter brought a stack of utensils & napkins & just tossed them in the middle of the table, leaving our group of 8 to set the table ourselves - no effort, no attention.
Two of our orders didn't come out with the rest of the food, so we had to wait awkwardly before we could all start eating. No explanation or apology was offered - just more delay & disorganization.
My wife ordered the chicken burger, which was extremely dry & bland. I had the Greek salad main course ($23), & not only was it unimpressive, but I actually got sick on our flight shortly after. For a restaurant in an international airport, you expect higher standards - this missed the mark on every level.
We will absolutely not return, & I would strongly caution others to eat elsewhere.
