We came to this place on a whim & we were lucky it was beautiful out so got to sit on their terrace for the first time this season! We got the beef nachos & the steak pieces were tender & incredible. The nachos themselves were sooo crispy & tasty! We also got the shrimp tacos & they were really good too. So glad to have this Mexican gem nearby with outdoor seating for the summer months.
Service was amazing-everyone was super friendly & welcoming, & everything came out quickly. They took the time to answer all our questions without making us feel rushed, which was really nice.
The food was the highlight though. The house-made chips & guac were so good I could've just eaten that & been happy. The birria tacos were unreal-loaded, flavorful, & definitely no skimping on portions. Same with the cochinita enchiladas, which were super filling & came in a really generous serving.
We somehow made room for dessert & got the deep-fried cheesecake-definitely big enough to share (& worth it).
We left completely stuffed & happy. Definitely a spot I'd go back to over & over!

Had an amazing experience at Tularose Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented,those shrimp tacos were unreal. Great atmosphere & super friendly service too. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!
Les tacos, la guacamole & les margaritas cadillac sont excellents! On est loin du Old El Paso. Les tacos sont tres bien garnis, 3 tacos chacun a été amplement suffisant avec l'entrée de guacamole & croustilles.
Parfait endroit pour souper avant un spectacle au Théâtre Desjardins!
Maybe the best Mexican food in Montreal. I've had every one of their tacos & they are all amazingly good. Drinks & appetizers are also top-notch. Staff are incredibly friendly & welcoming. Can't wait to go back.
Good restaurant in general only one meal I had was a bit bland & lack of taste it was a enchiladas barbacoa. But we also had another meal of tacos which was very good. Drinks also were good.
Only disappointment is my meal but maybe it was only bad luck or the chef on that day.

Nice place. Nice staff. But the food was average. $13 for the guacamole appetizer!! $20 to $25 for a very average main course. It's tacos lmao. Taste was lacking. Size was a concern considering the $25 price tag. My server was amazing. Wasn't worth anything close to that. Do better.
The food was good but I wasn't overly impressed! The carne asada tacos were bland. The place was so noisy when we were there we couldn't hear each other speak across the table but I guess that's to be expected if they have a group of 40 women. Over all it was ok but I was not overly impressed
My mom & I had a great dinner at Tularosa a couple of weeks ago. The quesabirria tacos are some of the best I've had in the city! The desserts & drinks were also fantastic- good value for the price. Service was fantastic as well. We weren't rushed at all (which is rare nowadays) & we were made to feel really welcome. We'll definitely be back & wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others!
So far, I've been there twice but I'll go often for sure. Excellent Mexican cuisine with a good balance between traditional & commercial. My favourite is Tacos Gobernador, exquisite flavour & dish presentation. The staff service is awesome with great attention to detail & client satisfaction. Very recommended!

The Queso fundito as appetizer was the most disgusting thing i ever had:( We ordered taco cochinita pibil & steak fajitas. The meat wasn't fresh on the tacos smelling bad the tortillas are the grocery store one wasn't cooked properly . Steak was chewy. The fajita plate was dirty it had dust on it , service was a little bit slow but it was ok. Never going back.
We showed up early, around 4:30. There were not too many people there yet. We ordered our drinks, appetizer, & food all at once. Drinks were good & served quickly. Guacamole & chips took a while to come out. Guacamole was very tasty but the chips had a lime seasoning that was very sour & overpowering. Steak fajitas were super chewy & bland. The birria tacos were pretty tasty. It was disappointing that the menu online was not the menu we were presented - lots of stuff missing that we wanted to try instead. We asked for a side of rice, but the waiter informed us that they didn't have time to make any today… service wasn't terrible.. I imagine when it's busy it will take even longer to get your food. I had called earlier in the day to make reservations since their website is awful, & nobody ever called me back to confirm.
Vraiment trop bon je recommande fortement cette endroit taco magarita peut aller se coucher la nouvelle place pour un authentique taco c'est chez tularosa
The food is fresh & inspired. Each plate has the perfect amount of food. Cocktails are perfectly balanced & offer a great compliment to every dish. I had the quesabirria tacos which were excellent & my date had the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. Ownership was present & attentive. I also enjoyed being in a Mexican restaurant without Mexican music blasting in my ears the entire time. We'll be back!

The food is fresh & flavourful, the drinks are dangerously good. There is a fantastic mocktail menu for those who don't drink alcohol. Staff & owners are friendly & hard working. I recommend the guacamole, the carne asada tacos (my 2 year old's favourite), the pastor tacos,the fajitas & enchiladas. Oh, & the quesabirria. Basically everything on the menu is delicious!!
What a wonderful spot. We went without a reservation & had to wait a few minutes. We were seated at the bar & had the BEST time. Great conversation with Lori the bartender. We ordered the guacamole (a MUST) that came with fresh hand-cut tortilla chips, carne asada tacos & chicken enchillada. The food was absolutely incredible! Due to a recent TikTok, the restaurant was packed, but well worth the wait. I would recommend making a reservation. We will definitely be going back
