We had an excellent time at Tsukuyomi Ramen in Mile End. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was great, & the food was outstanding. The whole family loved it-from the flavorful broth to the perfectly cooked noodles. A must-visit spot for ramen lovers!View more
Ramen is alright but broth to me was quite bland. I tried it twice to see if it was just a one off.
Matcha Tea is from tea bags (They warn you in advanced so it's fine just disappointing).
Service was decentView more
As a neighbourhood ramen joint, it's decent, but far from one of the best ramen in Montreal. The broth lacks depth & I'm not fond of the thin white noodles. IMHO, I find nearby Nakamichi, Yokato Yokabai, even Ramen-Ya have better ramen than this place.
Also they cook their broth in sequential batches - what kind of ramen joint only has one pot simmering at a time??? Once I arrived at 12:20pm & did not realize I had just missed a batch. Fortunately I had something to read, but realized over 30 minutes had passed, a rather long time to wait for ramen during lunch hour rush. This means that the guy who got seated next to me 20 minutes after I arrived, only got to wait 10 minutes for his ramen.
If they had communicated this to me when I ordered, it would have helped. But no, I had to ask the server why it was taking 35 minutes to make a bloody bowl of ramen.
Edit: It's been a few years now & I have never come back since. So many better ramen alternatives out there! With prompt service!View more
The kara-age was excellent-crispy, juicy & flavorful! I had to order a second serving! The ramen was delicious, but I wish the broth had been served hotter to enhance the overall experience. A great spot with a little room for improvement.View more
My go to for ramen. Broth is MGS free & the Tonkotsu one is the best. The wood counter makes it feel like an Izakaya in Japan. Staff are always friendly & one bowl or ramen will fill you up for sureView more
This cosy ramen house was a perfect choice on a cold, rainy night. We all had the Tonkotsu Ramen, with a creamy pork bone broth. Each of the three of us had a different protein (chicken, pork & tofu respectively). The broth was delicious, the noodles perfectly chewy. Topped with a side of fried gyoza & a pint of Yuzu beer. Perfection! Highly recommend.View more
A delicious bowl of ramen. Broth was flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked & pork chashu tender with a hint of smoke. The chicken karaage was super juicy on the inside & came in a very generous portion. Will definitely be back again.View more
Amazing place for ramen. The staff is very nice & the atmosphere is such a vibe. They also have vegan friendly ramen & the broth is very tasty! I highly recommend to try the tofu (even your tofu hater friend will like it hahah). Little gem in the milend that I highly recommend .View more
We both enjoyed our ramen. The cold one was especially refreshing on a hot summer day! The broth one was very comforting & flavourful! Friendly service, great atmosphere, not too loud inside! Would love to come back to try other dishes. Someone ordered the kaarage rice bowl nearby & it looked soo good!View more
A more authentic take on ramen with a rich broth. Has a nice Japanese vibe right down to seating.View more
Long time customer, since their opening. Over the years, there has been many many changes, some good, some disappointing. The very first iteration of the cold ramen (the one with the noodles in an ice bowl & the most delicious dipping sauce ever) was fantastic. The tonkotsu always has been good but sometimes the egg is freezing cold, sometimes the chashu is a very small slice sometimes very generous & thick. Overall, it always was my to-go place. But recently, I am absolutely sure they changed the noodles, which is like the most important part of a ramen bowl. They used to taste fresh & natural. Now, they have that dry & starchy mouthfeel, like the commercial processed noodles we get in instant noodles. They no longer feel bouncy & chewy at all. Just undercooked dehydrated store-bought noodles. They say they didn't change it but the staff there is always new, so they have no clue of the precedent menus over the years. Anyway, broth is still good but the noodles are not worth it anymore. Will now get my ramen fix at NakamichiView more
Was a bit disappointed by the broth. It was too rich & tasteless. The chashu also was too lean & thick. Good starters. But there are better ramen places.View more
Sides are delicious, we had scripy seafood balls & gyoza , next time I gonna order it just for myself & not planning to share 🤣 . Ramen is also good, but I prefer more broth, less noodlesView more
1. Super delicious sides. 2. Ramen 4 out of 5. 4/5, very good salt level. Not too much, however, small amount of broth. 3. Very tight sitting. Literally side by side. 2/5 4. Menu sheets are 30 years old, maybe older & dirty. 5. Toilet - hmmm, no paper towels, needs renovation. Well, come & see. 2/5 ALL IN ALL, food was delicious, pricing reasonable.View more
I had an excellent memory of this place from my visit years ago. Coming back this time, the food is still tasty, with the broth being particularly rich & flavourful. However, I did feel that it became a tad expensive for the food served. I really would've liked more broth in my ramen...View more
An absolute ramen haven in Montreal! The broth is the star here - rich, flavorful, & incredibly satisfying. The condensed & intense flavor of the soup takes the ramen experience to a whole new level. While the gyoza was fairly good, & the noodles slightly softer than my preference, the overall experience was fantastic. The comfy atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the meal. A must-visit for ramen lovers! Five stars.View more
I used to come here when they first opened & it was great. Came back recently after a year & noticed the portion of ramen got smaller & is served in a plastic bowl which I don't appreciate so much when am paying 20$ for a hot soup, its not as charming I find & doesn't keep the heat as well. I arrived close to closing time & understand it can be frustrating as the staff wants to finish their night but asking me to pay for my bill 5 minutes after I've gotten my food, then put the chairs up around me followed by turning off the music felt a bit rude. I've worked in restaurants for a long time & I definitely know & believe there are gentler & more polite ways to let clients know you are closing.& it's not like I was going to linger there, just wanted to finish my beer & food. It felt like I was at a fast food joint. The broth tasted good still, at least, & waiter was friendly omit everything.View more
Truly the best ramen I’ve ever eaten; the miso chicken broth was delicious, rich, flavorful, the noodles had the perfect amount of chew, & the yuzu beer was divine!!!View more
