Restaurant depicting high end but rally a low end restaurant. Service was poor. Order beverages with meal, they never came. Pizza was good. Lasagna was cold & incredibly salty. Ravioli was flavorful but presented poorly & quite a small portion for price. For the price of most dishes, choose someplace else.View more

Trattoria Gio offre une expérience culinaire somme toute correcte. La nourriture, bien que satisfaisante, ne se démarque pas particulièrement : les pâtes & les pizzas sont dans la moyenne, sans réelle surprise ni déception. Le service est lui aussi adéquat, ni exceptionnel ni problématique.
L'ambiance du restaurant est acceptable, mais manque un peu de chaleur ou de personnalité. Côté propreté, rien à redire - l'endroit est bien entretenu, ce qui est toujours apprécié.
Le seul véritable bémol demeure les prix, qui sont au-dessus de la moyenne pour ce type d'établissement, surtout compte tenu de la qualité offerte.
En résumé, Trattoria Gio est une option convenable si vous êtes dans le secteur, mais il existe des alternatives offrant un meilleur rapport qualité-prix.View more

We were a group of 6. While having some issues withe order mix up with order but- the food did not disappoint. It was fresh & tasty. Chicken dish was exceptionally good. Pizza was also good. We had a mix up with the order but the establishment was sincerely apologetic & did care to make their customer happy by offering concessions. Would recommend.View more

Trattoria Gio deserves a special mention. The evening that we visited, there was a power outage. But we were adamant about having dinner here on our final night in Montreal & we have zero regrets! Everything we ordered - the pizza & the bolognese pasta - were amazing! The kitchen was running thru some issues due to the power outage but they still were able to accommodate our requests. We were too busy eating to take pictures, & we sure were happy campers with our Trattoria Gio experience!View more

Holy crap the food is NOT worth price or calories. Ceaser salad was giving East Side Mario's & pizza was Delissio from the frozen section. Pasta sauce was incredibly watery & bland, wasn't even offered cracked pepper (the pastas were close to $30 each). Our server was sweet & reassuring when the drinks took long, they also killed the dirty martini & spicy margarita so that's the reason I didn't give 1 star. Pleeeeease save yourself & pick a different spot.View more

The food here is absolutely amazing! The bruschetta & fries were super delicious, & the pizza was just divine. The service was impeccable, staff were very polite & attentive. Very nice restaurant with very good & attentive service. They allow dogs on the patio!!! Not many places do in the old port which sucks so this place was accommodating & they even offered our dogs water. We got pizzas & they were great.View more

Trattoria Gio is a very nice Italian spot in Old Port with very courteous staff & good food! I ordered the Caprese pizza & mojito & both tasted yum!! The mojito was a bit sour for my taste but the staff was able to accommodate my request & adjust it accordingly. Overall, good experience! 😊View more

When I decided to take my boys to a late dinner at Trattoria Gio I expected that the food would only be mediocre, since the location would be perfect for a tourist trap. The service was friendly & attentive however the food was as expected: underwhelming. I bet that the pizza they serve is frozen. I'm not complaining about this, as mentioned, it met my expectations. The reason I'm writing this are all the raving reviews about this great Italian food. Folks, you can definitely have a good time at this place but great Italian food is not what is being served here.View more
