The food here is great, but it's not great enough to make it worth the price for me, personally. & I think a lot of people feel similarly because we went on a Saturday night at peak dinner time & it was almost fully empty... It's really a shame though because that steak & chicken dinner was delicious! But 60$+ per person with the tip & tax, considering it's just a plate of meat & veggies that someone cooked in front of you, I don't know if it's super worth it. Cool experience still.
Went with a large groups. Food was pretty good. Drink service left a little something to be desired. They don't put on as good of a show as Beni Hana. But it was good. I'd go back
Food was very good & the portions where very very generous. As for the experience, we where expecting a bit more of the cooking show. Staff was friendly & the ambiance was also nice.
Went with a bachelor party & had a great time. After staying in MTL for the weekend this was by far our best meal. We were sat quickly & served quite quickly as well. Chef was out within 15 minutes preparing at the table. Great entertainment & the food was awesome. Also had great portions for the pricing & makes it feel a little higher end with the courses coming out in waves. Only complaint would be it gets quite hot in there with the grills going but I don't know how avoidable that is. Overall great meal.

The food was OK...but not worth the $240 it cost for 3 people 🤔. The soup is basically a salty broth with 2 sad pieces of dried onion while the rest was drenched in soya sauce.
We got seat at 7pm & we waited for an hour for the server to take order. After placing the order we waited for another 30 mins to get our soup & salad which is unbelievable. The food was over cooked & not seasoned well. Fillet mignon was okay but to be honest nothing worth the calories.
I wouldn't call the soup a soup as it was broth & 2 pieces of mushroom. Chicken teriyaki was really good but our reservation was at 7 & we didnt get the food before 20h20. People around the table were getting impatient.
Wow, quelle belle soirée chez Toyo samedi, tout était parfait. Nous étions 7 pour un souper d'anniversaire & tout le monde a ADORÉ l'expérience. Je recommande sans hésitation un souper spectacle à ce resto. Vous allez passer un excellent moment & être ravi de votre visite.
The food was average, the fried rice was the best part, but the meat was on the bland side & the vegetables had a weird aftertaste. Service was okay, overall fine but not worth what you pay
I love their sauces... made of ginger & the chili . I wonder if we can buy some to take home ? I think it's called Yum Yum sauce but I am not sure. They have 2 sauces, the orange coloured & a dark one.
Food was okay, service "VIBE" was bad from the elder female server(she is probably the owner). When my wife try to question her answer, she flip the topic to serve other customers to avoid the conversation about my wife's question. Extremely unprofessional. Gave two stars because other server actually conducted what a server supposed to do. Overall, if you are looking for a 5 stars service experience & taste, but charging 5 stars restaurant price this is not the restaurant. For a quick bite with a buddy is okay, but not for family, celebrations, or group gatherings.
Toyo Japanese Steakhouse, Montreal: Good Taste, Room for Improvement Toyo Japanese Steakhouse in Montreal, known for its teppanyaki grill bar, offers a decent experience. While the food tastes good, the portions have noticeably reduced & come with a high price tag. The chefs put on an okay show, but seem to be under pressure catering to multiple tables, which impacts the entertainment aspect. Additionally, the service tends to be on the slower side. Overall, it's a satisfactory visit but with notable areas for improvement.
Been going here for over 20+ years, amazing food & service. Place needs a refresh when it comes to interior but don't let it fool you.
Super bonne nourriture. Bien que la décoration du restaurant se fasse vieillot le service était de grande qualité & nous avons eu un très bon service. Je vous le recommande.
