Gave this place a chance as they are a new business & wanted to support local
While the flavors were honestly pretty good, I just can't get over the fact that every single slice was a different size. I had never seen or been served different size slices from a New York style pizza. How does that even work? Every client pays the same price but someone gets a big slice someone gets a thin slice someone gets a shorter slice. It doesn't make sense & it looks really bootleg especially for a new business trying to gain a customer base.
Some slices like the 7$ slice of the week was tiny (see picture) & ridiculous for the price. They say their whole pies are 18', so I expect individually sold slices to be cut from an 18' pie regardless of which kind it is. It should be one uniform size. I really doubt that these individual slices are cut from an 18' pizza they were way too small overall & I believe they cut too many slices from a pie to once again maximize revenue which is why some of the slices are unnecessarily thin. It shows that the business is penny-pinching which is a terrible sign for a new business.
The other smaller issue I have is the crust section is unnecessarily big on some of the pizzas which is usually seen in businesses trying to cut costs by leaving a bigger crust section to have less area to cover with toppings or it's really just a lack of consistency in how you make your pizzas. & the crust is just not really good (dry/flat/charred).
I really encourage the owner (& whoever reads this) to go down to Welldun in Verdun just across the bridge (which is probably the best pizza in Montreal right now) & see what an actual New York pizza & individual slices are supposed to look like. Hell you can even just look at their instagram page. I'll give it another chance in the future.View more
Wow! Best in Brossard. One of the best of Montreal area. Great crust, sauce & topping options. Staff is nice & music is great. 100% recommendView more
Excellent addition to the neighbourhood: pizza by the slice (or the square). We had a square of La Simona, & a slice of the Mootz. Both of them hit. Get a square over a slice if you're looking for a thicker crust - sneaky filling. Make sure to save space for the Olive oil lemon cake.
Looking forward to trying the other offerings, & their rotating weekly pizza.View more
