Tommy Café ressort comme un spot de brunch prisé, lumineux et cosy, avec une décoration soignée et une ambiance chaleureuse qui crée une expérience agréable pour des matinées ou des après-midi entre amis ou en famille. La carte offre une grande variété de plats généreux et bien présentés, du avocado toast et des eggs Benedict aux options grecques ou shakshuka, accompagnés d'un café souvent apprécié pour sa qualité; les portions sont généreuses et le rapport qualité-prix est jugé correct par beaucoup. Le service est globalement sympathique et attentif, mais peut devenir lent lorsque l établissement est très fréquenté, et certains estiment que ce manque de fluidité nuit à l'expérience. Des témoignages mettent en avant l énergie du lieu et le cadre attractif proche du vieux port, mais d'autres remarquent des occasions où certains plats ne répondent pas exactement aux attentes ou des tarifs plus élevés. I saw the review written by a Mr Felipe. I was seated just two tables away from this situation & can't let the record be distorted. When it comes to allergies, dietary restrictions or medical conditions like celiac disease, it is always the customer's responsibility to clearly & explicitly communicate this every single time they order. Asking for'gluten-free bread' without stating a gluten allergy, dietary restriction or celiac condition does not automatically communicate the seriousness of the requirement.
My own mother is celiac, & whenever she eats out, she repeats herself clearly & deliberately, because she understands how critical that communication is. That is not negligence on the restaurant's part; it's basic responsibility on the guest's.
I've eaten here many times meals & coffee & it's consistently been a great experience. It's genuinely disappointing to see a place's reputation challenged over a misunderstanding that could have been avoided with proper communication. Situations like this only hurt staff who take pride in their work.
Had a great breakfast experience at Tommy's in downtown. The food was delicious & the service was absolutely top notch friendly, attentive, & welcoming.
Just one small suggestion: warming the coffee cup before pouring would help keep the coffee hot for longer. Other than that, everything was spot on.
Overall, a solid 5-star experience. Will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great coffee shop right in Old Montreal. The coffee & food were great. It is worth dodging around the construction to pop in. Friendly service, too. & I wasn't rushed to clear out.

First time in old Montreal & we hungry...found this cute place & were seated right away..the staff are all wonderful..
The food was so tasty & served quick
Loved my Greek omelette & chai latte .. the potatoes were not good almost tasted old. my husband had with the prosciutto omelette

The takeout iced americano I had was absolutely delicious! It was probably the best coffee I've had during my entire year living in Canada. The taste just keeps coming back to me, & I can't stop thinking about it. I really wanted to try other items on their menu, but unfortunately my schedule didn't allow it. I'm definitely planning to visit again on my next trip to Montreal!
Such a lovely place
We were a group of 5 on a Sunday morning we came in right on time before it became packed. Highly recommended. Service, food, coffee, everything was wonderful

Everything was amazing, especially the coffees & the service). 2 food standouts, Lucky Charms latte & Lox bagel. Everything was so delicious, Peter (owner) was very personable & charming. He gave us good recommendations on what to do in the city.
Stopped in for coffee. Lively place but service was extremely slow for two coffees that were not worth the wait, the Cortado being undrinkable. Better options around.

The restaurant itself is very beautiful & the servers were also great. Unfortunately breakfast was a bit disappointing. I ordered a truffle omelette & the omelette was quite flat & dry, not at all fluffy how you expect an omelette to be. The coffee was also not the best. It is a convenient location if you are already in the Old Port area but I would say don't expect 5 star food.
WOW!! Wished we found this place 3 mornings ago!! Fantastic coffee & had the most delicious breakfast croissant. Flaky fresh pastry w smashed avocado prosciutto & melted cheese w green salad on the side.
Had a weekend breakfast here - the food was fantastic, the vibe was on point - casual, great music.. this is like your favourite neighbourhood place to meet. A sense where people come in & meet old friends, lots of regulars, & really good food. Most importantly, the coffee was good (how I decide if I will come back to a breakfast place). Recommend.
