Finally got to try Tommy café. The interior is pleasant. Quite spacious relative to previous restaurant. But, as for the coffee, a bit weak & bland because my cortado wasn't a cortado. &, the almond croissant/pastry, well was quite, days old. This was brought up to the counter, where the owner proceeded to take it apart with his fingers. Exchanged it for a regular croissant, price difference was not returned. No apologies either. It's a shame in ways. No hard feelings though. Wishing them continued success because the neighborhood needed a spot like this.
The staff is very nice.
Prices are high.
The latte was not hot enough, the chicken sandwich was barely warm.
I had to keep my jacket on because it was cold inside. Other people had their jackets on as well.
I spent over $60 dollars between my boyfriend & me, & we were allowed to use their wifi for only 2 hours.
Great coffee & good food. The Caesar salad was not worth the price tho, too small & not something wow.
I am a matcha lover & was hoping this one wouldn't disappoint but it did. 1$ extra for maple syrup (couldn't taste it) & another 1$ for oatmilk (I thought most coffee shops were done making you pay for your lactose intolerance lol). That being said, I didn't take away 2 stars for that second point but truly because that matcha only tasted like warm milk. You can see the color; light beige....where's the matcha?! No clue. Absolutely disappointing. Didn't make me want to try anything else. That being said, my boyfriend loved the coffee so I guess some items will disappoint while others will delight you. But for the price, it just stinks extra when you're disappointed.
The music was pretty loud & it truly is a vibe for louder crowds & not so much calm moments with your significant other; which is totally fine for some but not to my personal preference.
The staff was great though!
