To Dinette Viet is the Plaza's newest foodie destination: a modern Vietnamese canteen celebrating authentic street food, local flavors, and a warm atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Comforting dishes, a welcoming team, and an energy that brings the neighborhood to life.
Reviews describe Tô Dînette Viet as a tiny, cozy Vietnamese spot with a focused menu that delivers authentic street-food flavor at good value, featuring dishes like Cánh Gà chicken wings, Bún Riêu, Bò Né and Bánh Cuốn with generous portions. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, the staff friendly, and reservations are advised due to the small space, though experiences vary with occasional long waits or items selling out and sometimes music that can be too loud. Overall, the food is praised for freshness, handmade quality, and faithful Vietnamese flavors, with a few service hiccups that don’t deter fans from returning.
I had a lovely evening with my friends here. It was our first time & we got to experience the Vietnamese cheer & had shots with the chef! Thank you for the great night!
The food was really tasty, I'm not vegetarian but I loved their tofu with eggplants. Their drinks are also tasty, I had the spicy mango cocktail & it was flavorful & well balanced in spice. It is fair priced, we had an entrée, main course & drinks. Lovely staff, super kind!
Amazing food & service, I had the cánh ga (chicken wings) as an entrée & then bò né ( beaf à la citronelle, egg, baguette & a home made paté!) it was an amazing experience. Thanks to Aaron for suggesting the meal. Definitely passing by again.

I was walking by this restaurant one evening & I decided to stop & look at the menu. The restaurant had some photos of some of the dishes in their front window display. As i looked at them I said « Mmm, that looks good . » A voice behind me said « You won't know until you've come in & tried the food. » I turned & I saw someone relaxing, obviously at the end of a shift. It was the Chef, Galaxy. I asked him if the crab & pork soup was good. He said you'll have to try it to know. I said that i usually ate at Pho Tay Ho & was the food comparable to them? He said to come for lunch tomorrow & be the judge! So I did. My wife & I got the chicken wings, the eggplant & tofu & a Ca Phe. The food was simply excellent. We will go back soon! Bravo chef.
Delicious! Food came out quick & had that nice street food feel from Vietnam, flavors felt pretty authentic as well. Looking forward to coming back & trying out some dishes coming up on their menu!

Love the asmosphere here, the deco & everything,
Enjoy the Bún Riêu the most, with CHINSU hotsauce 🔥holy im so glad it not spirancha (no offence)
& the chicken wings (cánh gà ) sweet & savory, a must buy indeed

1) Food:
The dishes looked great in their ads & on social media, so I was very excited (they also ran *a lot* of ads). However, most items fell short. The only standout was bánh tôm (the shrimp fritters) which I enjoyed. Bò né (the steak & egg skillet) had too much soy sauce which overwhelmed the beef & pâté. The bánh bao was more Chinese bao bun style than actual Vietnamese bánh bao, & the filling was below average - definitely my least favorite. G?i gà (the chicken salad) was also average & forgettable.
Portions were small for the price, so we didn't bother ordering more & just went to Tay Ho restaurant nearby afterward for a fuller, actually delicious, & cheaper meal.
2) Service:
Also disappointing. After our food arrived, we held off eating to wait for our friend, which was 15 minutes in total (I took photos & have timestamps). 2 minutes before our friend came, at 6 PM, our server came over & asked,'Are you guys gonna eat that? We have tables after you.' This felt unnecessary & uncomfortable, especially since we were already worried sick if our friend was safe or not because of this unusual delay.
For context, I'd called the day before & were aware they had rsvps starting from 7 PM, so this interaction at 6 felt rushed & somewhat icky. Then we checked with another server & were told we had a 1.5-hour seating window, which made the other person's question even more unreasonable. We finished everything at 6:19 PM, which was approximately an hour of the total seating.
After reading all the other comments, I have a feeling we're all referring to the same waitress. If that's right then I hope they would take some actions to manage this issue, like better training or something.
3) Seating:
The setup was awkward & impractical. I understand Tô Dinette Viet wants to recreate a Vietnamese street food aesthetic with their furniture choices, but the execution misses the mark & inauthentic. Low plastic tables are typically paired with short stools (see my 2nd photo), & taller chairs go with even higher metal tables (photo #3), not whatever they do. This mismatch made it uncomfortable to eat & could be especially difficult for older customers.
We ordered & then were ignored for over an hour - no drinks, food or check in. When I asked if prep had started as otherwise we would just leave (it was closing time) we got our juice & were reassured food was being plated. The food came another ten minutes later & the beef soup was very oily & not flavorful. The beef sandwich with egg was okay (didn't come with any toppings & you assemble yourself). They offered free imperial rolls which were good. The small plastic stools were hard to sit at for that kind of wait. This is a trendy looking spot but they probably forgot to put in the order & don't seem to actually care about your experience.
