Restaurant Thailande located on the popular Bernard Street in Montreal is a terrific place to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine; this establishment has been open for over 17 years and attracts any type of crowd who appreciate amazing food and tasteful typical Thai décor. This is an excellent place for enjoying all of your favorite Thai dishes -- Sample menu: vegetables, pork, beef, lamb, chicken, shrimps, Tom Yum soup with shrimp, Thai spring rolls, Kaeng Phed (red curry, with coconut milk and basil) and crispy duck to name only a few. This restaurant is not only known for its tasteful food and great service, but for the traditional seating they dispose (patrons have the choice to eat on tatami mats and lowered tables). For those wanting to really experience an unforgettable Thai evening, then they must try the traditional seating. It`s a beautiful experience.Also, a private room for up to 30 people is available for any type of parties. Super bon restaurant thaïlandais ! Un des must du Mile End !
La table d'hôte est incroyablement copieuse.
Dumplings aux arachides, rouleaux impériaux, salades de mangues, brochettes de poulet, soupe épicé aux crevettes & champignons …
Le service est courtois & impeccable.
Mon plat étais absolument succulent :
Servis sur une assiette en fonte, bien fumante, sauce thaïlandaise épicé débordante de saveur 🌶?, moules, calamars, poisson, crevettes, pétoncles, c'était tout simplement divin !
Un resto, relax & romantique, je recommande chaudement!!!

We visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day, & while the food was good, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing.
The Cari Rouge was a highlight, & the service was attentive. However, the entrees we chose as part of the table d'hote were just okay, lacking a wow factor.
Unfortunately, our reservation seemed to have been lost, & we were seated in a very basic, untraditionally decorated area. The restaurant has two other beautifully decorated areas with a traditional Thai ambiance, which made our seating area feel lacking.
To make matters worse, we were seated at a table that was literally right next to another couple, leaving little room for privacy or romance.
While our server was friendly & competent, they didn't go above & beyond to make our experience special.
Overall, this restaurant has potential, but our Valentine's Day experience was marred by mishaps & a lackluster atmosphere.

Wow! This is such a fantastic restaurant. We always get the table d’hote & I can’t believe the large amount of meat &/ or shrimp that is used. The quality is exceptional & the service is wonderful .

Very authentic tasty food. My boyfriend took a table d'hote which let us taste a few different appetizers. The coconut lemon grass soup was very good but slightly too spicy. I had a curry bowl with coconut milk, potatoes, pineapple & duck. It was so good! Completely different from Indian curry which I hate. The sticky rice was excellent to dip in the sauces. I found the portions very small for the price but in the end we were all full. The decor is also very nice. unfortunately you don't actually sit on the floor like the traditional way. Its more like sitting on an elevated platform with the table below.
