TESFA is described as a small, cozy, welcoming spot where the food is consistently fresh, flavorful and prepared with care, with the falafel pita and sabich pita repeatedly called standout items and the hummus noted as exceptionally smooth. Reviewers praise a wide variety of Mediterranean offerings including shawarma, shish taouk and kebab pita, with many calling it the best falafel in Montreal and the bread and sauces highlighted as especially fresh and well balanced. The staff and atmosphere receive many compliments for warmth and friendliness, giving the dining experience a family owned vibe that feels personal and inviting. Some reviewers mention the small space can make seating tricky at busy times, and a few visits note occasional inconsistencies or changes in taste, but these are in the minority compared with the overall praise for freshness, quality and value. Overall it is seen as a hidden gem in the Plateau, offering affordable, high quality Mediterranean dishes that leave diners eager to return.
I'm always on the lookout for that amazing taste of pita from Israel, & I've recently discovered this place that comes close. I heard the owner lived in Israel, which might explain the authentic flavour. I recommend this place.
Bombastic spot. Nice & cozy. Food was amazing & simple which you cant go wrong with. Tried the fries hummus kebab & chicken. So good for the price, must go!!!

Fantastic food! Shawarma pita was made with care using many fresh ingredients. Bread was freshly baked, & hummus was delicious. Restaurant is inviting & staff very friendly.
Let me just say this place was amazing, & it lives up to all the reviews. This turned out to be our first stop upon arriving in Montreal to eat because many places were closed due to a national holiday that we were unaware of. Boxing today. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we thoroughly enjoyed the food here. The staff was very welcoming & very helpful with us as it was our first time there & they got a feel for what we liked & what they think we should be served, which I appreciated completely. He said these were the best falafel I would ever have, & he was correct. The wife usually isn't a fan of them, but these were beyond exceptional. As well as the pitas that we had. Being that the neighborhood we were staying in, it was very convenient, & this will definitely be a stop that we make the next time we visit Montreal.
