About us
Located on the 8th floor of the William Gray Hotel, Terrasse William Gray is the place to be to soak up the summer season. With a breathtaking view of Place Jacques-Cartier, the St. Lawrence River and Montreal’s Ferris wheel, our terrace offers refreshing summer wines, cocktails, beers and delicious sharing platters. The terrace is heated and equipped with retractable awnings to ensure our guest's comfort during cooler days.

Dining here was nothing short of magical. Dining with your besties in a beautifully decorated igloo overlooking the city of Montreal, was an experience to remember.
From the moment I arrived, the ambiance was breathtaking. The twinkling lights, cozy blankets, & the soft glow of candles made the igloo feel like a winter wonderland. The view of the city added the perfect touch-Montreal ❤?
The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, making sure everything was just right.

Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything tasted fresh & well thought out.

However, one disappointing aspect was that we had informed them in advance that it was my friend's birthday, but they forgot to acknowledge it during our visit. While the location & views at William Gray in Montreal's Old Port are undeniably stunning, my recent visit for brunch left me somewhat disappointed. As a group of four, we were informed that only the brunch menu was available until 4pm on weekends, which was a bit of a letdown as we were hoping for a lunch experience on the terrace. The steak & eggs I ordered turned out to be quite average, with the steak lacking seasoning. However, the rest of the dishes were enjoyable. The service was attentive & the staff were friendly. Overall, my experience was good, but the lackluster food quality & limited menu options for weekend lunches may deter me from returning specifically for brunch.View more

Took us three tries to get a table at the Main Patio at night time. Here's my honest opinion The Patio setting: Beautiful, good music, staff were attentive. The Food: I am sorry it is very disappointing. The beef tartare even with Truffle oil tasted plain. The fig salad was just okay. The drinks: Old Fashion was watery, not enough whisky nor simple syrup. La Vine Rose Sangria has no fruity flavor to it. The view: Yes you get a night view of the Ferry Wheel & the Circus tent, but again it looks better on picture than in real life. Overall, a patio that's hyped up by social media, if you can't get in, don't feel bad about it. If the restaurant happen to see this, you have great potential to be a real good one, please hire some good chef & revamp your menu, also, get some good bartender as well. You already charging close to premium price, why dont you make it better?View more

Went for a late lunch in Canada Day as a party of 2. The queue system is easy & guest-friendly; we had time to get a coffee while we were waiting & our table was ready quickly. The wine list is short but very well curated, with some great references at good value. The food (duck shawarma dish & tuna steak salad) was of good quality & was served in a timely manner. The highlight of the visit was our server Alex. He's very knowledgeable with food & drink products, made really helpful suggestions, & was incredibly attentive in getting us what we needed & checking in to make sure it was to our liking. Even though he had a full section, he took the time to thoroughly explain menu options, with clarity & a great attitude. Had an early evening lunch with my teenager on the "town view" side of the terrasse witch still has a very nice view. I love the atmosphere. We had Pinneapple/coco mojitos delicious, a beef tartare, bavette de boeuf , & duck shawarma. Our food was fresh & delicious the service is excellent: smiling yet dicrete & very attentive. We had a lovely lunch today . The food was delicious & the service was amazing . We were served by Alix who was very attentive & came by multiple times to make sure we were all right . We didn't feel rushed at all despite staying there for over 3 hours while the restaurant was busy . The views were really nice too . Definitely recommend!View more
