Très belle expérience sur la terrasse de l'hôtel William Gray, une des plus belles de Montréal. Toute une expérience en hiver avec les dômes, qui nous permettent de souper à l'extérieur avec une vue incroyable. Le repas d'hiver en 5 services est très bien composé, les produits sont de très bonne qualité, c'est un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Une attraction en soi.
L'été, la terrasse est tout aussi magique. Très bon choix de cocktails, originaux & à des prix raisonnables.
La planche de charcuteries & fromages est excellente, & copieuse pour 2, avec de bons produits & de bonnes idées de condiments. Les frites maison à la truffe sont à recommander, & le reste du menu très qualitatif
Service impeccable, personnel souriant & disponible.

We visited TerrasseWilliam Gray to celebrate a special birthday & brought our own cake to make it more personal. The view was absolutely beautiful - truly the highlight of the experience - & the ambiance is very Instagram-worthy.
I completely understand that it's $69 per person, so the final bill wasn't surprising. However, based on what's presented on Instagram, we expected a more elevated & abundant setup. In reality, the table felt quite minimal, with smaller portions & limited variety. It wasn't necessarily bad - just not the high-end experience we were expecting, which was a bit disappointing.
The morning sun was also quite strong, which made it slightly uncomfortable at times despite the lovely scenery.
On a positive note, I truly want to mention the receptionist downstairs - he was incredibly kind, welcoming, & professional. He genuinely made a great impression & added warmth to the experience.
Overall, it's a beautiful place with a stunning view & kind staff, but in terms of presentation & overall'wow' factor, it didn't fully live up to our expectations.
We visited Terrasse William Gray as tourists around 2:00 pm, hoping to enjoy a couple of drinks & the view from their igloos. Upon arrival, we were told that the only option available was a fixed 5-course'experience' priced at $120 per person, & that we would not be seated in the igloos with a view. Instead, the only igloo offered was located at the back of the restaurant, with no view (although it did have a fire pit).
Since we had just finished lunch & didn't feel we would enjoy a full tasting menu, we decided to make a reservation for the evening instead. For dinner, the price increased to $170 per person, before taxes, & required full payment upfront to secure the table - again, for the same igloo without a view. Despite our hesitation, we went ahead & booked it to experience what the restaurant had to offer.
About 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant, we realized we wouldn't make it back in time due to sightseeing in the area & called to cancel. We were informed that the payment was non-refundable, which was disappointing.
When we arrived later that evening, the table was ready, & the staff was genuinely friendly & welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience fell short when it came to the service & food. Our server was unable to answer basic questions about the menu, which made us feel they were not very familiar with it. The food itself was nicely presented but ultimately forgettable - nothing stood out or felt worth the high price.
In the end, we paid around $700 for dinner for four, & it was not an experience we truly enjoyed. While the ambiance & location are beautiful, the pricing, rigid policies, & underwhelming food made this feel more like a tourist trap than a memorable dining experience.
Terrasse William Gray delivered an absolutely flawless New Year's Eve experience. The service was exceptional from start to finish, & Mauricio truly made the night unforgettable & perfectly timed in every way. The atmosphere, pacing, & overall execution of the evening were spot on. An amazing way to ring in the new year! It couldn't have been better!

Terrasse William Gray offers the perfect respite from Old Montreal siteseeing. The terrace seating is ideal for both good & inclement weather, with a retractable awning. The waitstaff were both attentive & excellent with advice.
Une réservation pour 8 personnes a été faite sur la terrasse. Nous avons été placés sur une terrasse à l'arrière sans intérêt à côté d'une machine à glace qui faisait beaucoup de bruit. Une énorme déception! 4 personnes étaient de l'étranger & 4 personnes de Montréal & je pense que les Montréalais recommanderont bien d'autres établissements dans le futur. Dommage!
Je suis allée au brunch de la Terrasse William Gray avec mon amie pour célébrer mon anniversaire & tout était merveilleux. Le service était parfait. Le busboy (commis débarrasseur) Jonathan était très attentionné & poli & le serveur David était très gentil & drôle. En plus de la vue éblouissante sur le vieux port, la nourriture était incroyable. Nous avons pris les Chicken & wafles & les oeufs bénédictines au homard. Je recommande fortement. Vous allez passer un moment inoubliable !
Très belle terrasse située dans le Vieux-Port de Montréal, sur le toit du 8e étage de l'hôtel William Gray. Je vous partage une photo de la vue saisissante de notre place assise tout juste au bord de clôture vitrée. Nous avons d'ailleurs pu réserver la table que nous souhaitions moyennant un frais de 35 $ vis le site internet.
Pour la nourriture, tout était excellent de la trempette de homard en passant par les crevettes & les assiettes de boeuf. La bouteille de vin n'était pas donnée, mais pas mal pareil partout.
Je recommande fortement & réservez d'avance, c'était complet même pour le service de 20h un vendredi soir :)
Terrasse William Gray is easily one of the best dining spots in Old Port. The views are spectacular, the food is exceptional, & the service is truly outstanding. We'd been wanting to visit for quite some time, & I couldn't have picked a better day to finally go.
Since weekends are reserved for brunch, we enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken & waffles & a lobster benedict-both prepared perfectly. The drink selection was great as well, but what really stood out was the service.
We were looked after by David, who went above & beyond to make sure our experience was memorable. It's a special place where you feel genuinely welcomed, & I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
