Trust me, come at sunset for the views. The drinks & service were good, but the view over the Old Port is what really makes this spot worth it. Perfect place to stop for a drink before heading to dinner.
Terrace is well appointed. Great view. Lovely sunny day. But the service was terribly slow. Took 25 minutes to obtain first drink. Almost 20 minutes to get the bill after finishing meal. Food was good but not exceptional.

View is amazing, food is legit bad & overpriced, most of items, & we tasted all of them (small menu) are dry, tasteless or is just bellow average for the price. Would still go if only for drinks, you get a nice view of old port/St-Laurent
I was here for a quick drink just before dinner on my birthday. The place has an amazing atmosphere & a good drink selection. However the real value is in the staff which was super nice, especially our waitress Florence who is charismatic, smart & fast. She surprised us with a little raspberry pie with a candle knowing it was my birthday. Grazie mille
Camilo was my bartender & he did not disappoint! The drinks were amazing!! The place is stunning as well & the view is unbeatable which only made my experience better.
The view was good & I did like the food even though it wasn't amazing. For a rooftop terasse in the old port, the price was competitive.
The service was bad. My drink didn't come for at least 40-45mins, I kept seeing other tables getting their drinks & I was the only one at my table without my drink. I asked the waitress & she went to check but didn't give me an update, so I waited another 15-20mins before asking her again & she went to check again. My drink finally came after a bit more waiting but the waitress never gave me updates or apologized for the wait the whole time. Other restaurants would've not charged the drink since i waited for an hour, but okay. The waitress' attitude is like she doesn't really care & not very friendly (not exactly rude, but not friendly).
Perfect location & lively vibe to grab a bite/drink. We were seated upstairs on the terrace. Although we were very early for our reservation, they happily sat us down on the patio in a matter of minutes. The falafel tacos was good & my cocktail was great as was the service.
Disappointed on a day that meant everything to us !!
We visited Terrasse Sur l'Auberge on 28th june for a very personal reason-our heavenly daughter's birthday. It was our first without her, & we had planned a quiet dinner in her memory. We had made our reservation well in advance as part of our escape trip to Montreal, hoping for a peaceful, meaningful evening. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we hoped for.
Though the rain was unpredictable & understandably made things more chaotic, the way we were received was disheartening. Despite having a reservation, we were treated like walk-ins & seated in a far corner of the balcony. Only one of us had a view of the city, & while the space is understandably small, the lack of care stood out.
We ordered a light meal & drinks-just a small toast in our daughter's memory-& were immediately given the bill before we even received the food. We were warned it might rain again & were seated directly under a leaky roof. When it did rain, the water poured right over our table, soaking our food, drinks, & even my handbag. We couldn't eat, couldn't even sit, & had to walk out in disappointment-no one checked on us, apologized, or offered to help.
It was truly upsetting on what was already an emotionally heavy day. We understand weather can't be controlled, but kindness & care can be. Sadly, this experience left a painful mark, & we likely won't return.
Come here for the view & for drinks. Skip the food. The food is unremarkable. Service is good. The atmosphere is outstanding. Bring a hat & sunscreen If you decide to sit in the unshaded side of the patio.
Our dining experience at L'AUBERGE was fantastic beginning with a rooftop table with a gorgeous view. We came for food & drinks to celebrate my daughter's birthday & what a beautiful place to celebrate! A special shout out to our server Max who "heard from a bird" (me) that it was my daughter's birthday & went out of his way to make the afternoon special. Highly recommend!
We were seated promptly even without a reservation on a busy day. The view from the rooftop was great, the food & drinks were really nice, & Marie-Alice who looked after our large party provided excellent service!

Stopped for a charcuterie & some drinks on a hot afternoon when it was too early for dinner. Was a nice break in the day. It was definitely crowded & hard to walk around, but that's the nature of a terrasse, right? The drinks all looked exquisite - my husband had a nice tequila based drink. The charcuterie was really great. The best part of the terrasse is the view of the city!
