Terrasse Le 419 offers a dining experience in the heart of the Old Port of Montreal that many guests praise for its delicious food, such as the surf and turf, tartares, and fresh seafood. The restaurant is frequently noted for its lively atmosphere, professional staff, and attentive service, with several visitors highlighting the impressive preparation of dishes like the smoked tomahawk steak. While the majority of reviews are positive and recommend the venue for its quality, ambiance, and friendly team, some patrons have mentioned inconsistencies regarding service speed, portion sizes, or price expectations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for both casual outings and special celebrations due to its inviting terrace and commitment to hospitality.
We stopped here just to have a drink since they had lots available tables on their terrace & had advertised happy hour at $9 for on tap beer & $13 for cocktails.
Where this restaurant lacks is in variety. They only have 3 beers on tap, & their taps weren't even working. As bottled beers go, they had Guiness & Landshark Lager. So $9 for a bottle of beer, not a great deal. As for cocktails, they had a few more choices, but only one of them qualified for the happy hour price.
Le 419 is well located, the terrace has a nice view of place Jacques Cartier, which boasts of lively atmosphere, many pedestrians & some buskers.
Our waitress was very friendly.
We had dinner across the street at Maggie Oakes & we noticed this place was absolutely dead all day long, which is suprising since the street, & other restaurants, were filled with tourists.
If you don't want to wait for a table, this is place is for you.
Today I came in with family for my pre-graduation celebration at lunch time. & Talia was our server, she was so nice, funny, & provided excellent service. The food was also really good everyone enjoyed it. At the end of the meal Talia surprised me with a cake with sparkles for my graduation, that made my day. Anyways I had a great time at terrace Le 419.
