I genuinely can't understand how this place has a 4-star rating. TLDR: skip it if you want food.
First, it took more than 10 minutes for anyone to take my order. I was sitting there waiting while nothing happened. The hostess eventually came back to ask whether someone had already taken my order. I said no, & even then it took another five minutes before a waiter came over. The restaurant wasn't even half full.
The staff were polite & friendly, but they seemed completely disorganized. They appeared to be trying their best, but the service was mediocre because there didn't seem to be any coordination. This is likely the result of poor management. The cook was the only person who appeared to be consistently working, turning out plates nonstop. Meanwhile, the bartender never seemed willing to step away from the bar to help take an order or even refill a glass of water.
I ordered the burger, & it was very disappointing. The beef patty tasted like it had been frozen for years. It was bland & had the texture of a generic mass of what was once beef, with a soft, jelly-like consistency rather than the texture of freshly ground meat. It reminded me of the kind of burger you'd get at a kebab shop for $5-not one that costs $25.
To make matters worse, the burger was drenched in sauce, which made it feel like an attempt to mask the poor quality of the meat.
Poor quality ingredients & disorganized service is the result of poor management. The staff at the front seems nice & willing to help but they need guidance. I dare the owner try the burger & say'yes this is what I want for my restaurant'.
Overall, this was an overpriced meal with slow, disorganized service & a burger that fell well below expectations. I wouldn't recommend it.
Notre expérience a malheureusement été très décevante. J'ai commandé la pieuvre avec des pâtes. L'assiette contenait seulement cinq petits morceaux de pieuvre, tandis que le reste était composé d'une grande quantité de pâtes dans une sauce rosée. L'ensemble ressemblait davantage à une soupe de pâtes qu'à un plat de pieuvre.
Le service a également été décevant. L'un des serveurs semblait désorienté, il apportait les plats aux mauvaises tables & aux mauvaises personnes & prenait des objets sur la table sans même demander la permission.
Au moment de servir le homard, il ne savait pas comment le découper. Il a finalement quitté la table sans terminer le service, & un de ses collègues a dû intervenir pour le compléter.
Enfin, lors de la cuisson flambée de la viande, la fumée était dirigée vers notre table. Nous avons commencé à tousser, ce qui a rendu l'expérience très désagréable.
Compte tenu des prix élevés du restaurant, nous nous attendions à une expérience de bien meilleure qualité. Malheureusement, le rapport qualité-prix n'était pas au rendez-vous.
Had a steak dinner with my father & brother. We were well taken care of by our waiter Andy (of course everyone played their part) . He served us with a high quality standard.
The atmosphere was really chill the drinks were great (we had pina coladas & mojitos). The chill jazz music made the atmosphere mellow. We had an amazing experience. Will definately revisit. I highly recommend coming here for a nice dinner &(or) drinks.
Any option on the menu feels like itd be a good option. The brussel sprouts expanded my perspective on how good brussel sprouts could be, & i already loved them
We ordered fixed three course meal.
My child's plate was taken away from her as she was about to bite into her food. Server grabbed the plate & said'wrong plate'. All the steaks were tough. We didn't complain. When it came to the desserts (which we waited around 20mins for the server to come around after finishing our meals) we were offered coffee or baileys. We don't drink, & we don't drink coffee. Server said there was nothing else they could provide us. I left no tip because of this. Waiter confronted me about this in front of of my family. I told him we ordered three courses & only received two. He (then after backed up by his manager?) then went on to tell me it was my fault for not inquiring what the desserts were. Not arrogant at all, real classy joint 👍🏼

Nous avons été ravis de notre soirée passée à la Terrasse le 419 de la Place Jacques Cartier!! Andy, notre serveur, nous a accueillis avec courtoisie, gentillesse!! Il nous a suggéré de délicieux plats, accompagnés d'un excellent vin! Toujours attentionné & veillant à ce que nous ne manquions de rien! Il nous a offert une soirée mémorable, un service hors pair, une écoute attentive à nos besoins! Une très belle personnalité!!

I went to the Terrasse 419 with a group & we ordered tartare as an entree, & then the Surf & Turf that came with a huge Tomahawk steak that was smoked & carved up with great panache by our waiter, Idriss, who also flambeed the varied surf platter. Wonderful to watch & the meat was perfect! Everything was delicious. We had to make room for the desserts even if we were full & I'm glad we did. Yum! Especially the lemon pie! Great Old Montreal experience. Highly recommended!
