Review Summary

Tchang Kiang By Yangtze receives mixed feedback, with many patrons appreciating the nostalgic and classic style of the Chinese cuisine, particularly highlighting dishes like egg rolls, pineapple chicken, and various soups. While some diners praise the consistent quality and courteous service that has defined the establishment for years, others express disappointment regarding declining food quality, overcooked items, and issues with portion sizes relative to the price. Experiences vary significantly, as some long-time customers remain loyal to the restaurant for special occasions, while newer or occasional visitors report inconsistent results ranging from excellent to unsatisfactory.

This is the place to go if you want some good Montréal chinese food. Recommend the general tao & the spare rib sauce is to die for. Plus the young man working the front is pretty cute....tarique I think? ;)

Ordered for the first time here last night. While the quality of the food is good, the prices simply cannot be justified. $150 for 3 people. There were 7 pieces of general tao...7. The beef & chicken dishes were cold & had to be microwaved. Meals don't come with soup included like many other places. Will not be ordering from here again & I honestly cannot say I would recommend it to others based solely on the price they charge for small portions.
