Had an amazing dinner at Taverne Atlantic in Montreal.
The location alone sets the tone-great vibe, great energy, & the perfect spot to unwind. The food was genuinely impressive: super tasty, creative, & full of little twists that make each dish memorable.
A special shoutout to Allegra, who served us with so much warmth & confidence. She recommended the perfect cocktails & helped us choose a pizza that ended up being one of the highlights of the night. Her suggestions were spot-on & really elevated the whole experience.
Overall, a fantastic evening with excellent food, a fun atmosphere, & standout services.
I really liked the atmosphere & the way this place has been put together - it has a unique charm that makes you excited to be there. However, the wait time was honestly crazy. They don't take reservations after 7 p.m., so it's very unpredictable when you'll actually get seated, especially if your group has more than four people. Be prepared to wait.
In our case, we were celebrating my friend's birthday & ended up waiting about an hour, mostly standing behind the bar, which was far from comfortable. A special occasion should feel a little more organized & welcoming.
I also think the staff could be a bit friendlier. While no one was outright rude, the service lacked warmth. What disappointed me the most was the birthday moment itself - when I asked for a cake, they brought it with no birthday music, even though we noticed birthday music being played for other tables while we were there. It made the experience feel less special. Also, don't expect a complimentary birthday dessert; unlike many bars, they don't offer a small cake on the house. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's something to keep in mind so you can plan ahead.
Another downside was the music volume. While the playlist was great & added to the lively vibe, it was a bit too loud at times, making it difficult to have a normal conversation without raising our voices.
That said, I highly recommend trying the cocktails. They offer some creative & refreshing flavor combinations that you don't find everywhere, & it was definitely the highlight of our visit. Don't miss the pizza breads - they are absolutely delicious & the perfect complement to the drinks. & despite everything, the taste of the cake was truly special & memorable.

The food was amazing. Very unique & innovative. The drinks were also really good. Loved the vibe of this restaurant. However, the service sort of made my group feel awkward & uncomfortable. The people serving us weren't the kindest. For example, my friends & I were washing our hands & I guess we were'in the way' of one of the staff members, who then shoved one of my friends to access the sink to wash their hands as well. All in all, great food & drinks, great music, but the staff could've been a bit nicer.
If you want a Pinterest-worthy date spot that makes you look effortlessly cool, Taverne Atlantic is it. Moody lighting, stylish decor, & elite cocktails set the vibe, while the food is solid enough to keep you from post-date poutine. Whether the date's a hit or miss, there's always a next time at Taverne Atlantic.
Had a superb reasonably priced 3 course meal here. Great vibe, beautiful interior with hall height ceilings, though a bit loud, service was solid, place was packed, very good looking customers abound
This cocktail bar is a gem. It has amazing drinks, delicious food & an unbeatable rooftop terrasse vibe. Perfect with friends or a romantic evening. Must try it!
Drinks & vibes were good, staff was super kind, but the pizza is a bit overpriced. Hot dogs are very good. We got moved to the rooftop & service went downhill - We were a little disappointed to discover once we all got home that despite us listing our orders to the waitress before they got the bill, not one of our drink orders was correctly charged & had to solve this with e-transfers. This was inconvenient & very surprising
We stopped by for a drink on their rooftop patio & were not disappointed! Awesome vibe & delicious beer. Would love to try out their beautiful dining room sometime. The only negative would be the bathrooms - they're super dark, for the aesthetics, but judging by the smell the dim lighting has caused more than one person to miss the bowl...

The place is absolutely stunning.. it ressemble a café in Havana city. The music was nice The a/c just right , not too cold not too hot. We asked to change table & they complied. So far so good... the service was particularly slow (all the tables were full, granted) it took a long time for the waiter to come take our orders. Even longer to get our drinks (they were delicious)... & then about 30 mins before our food. We ordered authentic Italian pizza (with italian sausages) & fancy pogos. It was pretty good but we didn't get much meat on the pizza (grr!) We went to the terrace afterward... I preferred the dining room but the vibe is different outside... we witnessed an amazing couché de soleil. The waitress on the terrace was not too friendly & messed up our bills. She was upset when I pointed it out to her.. All & all the place is nice but because of the long wait & unfriendly waiters... I would maybe go again at a less busy time... maybe.
