Had an amazing dinner at Taverne Atlantic in Montreal.
The location alone sets the tone-great vibe, great energy, & the perfect spot to unwind. The food was genuinely impressive: super tasty, creative, & full of little twists that make each dish memorable.
A special shoutout to Allegra, who served us with so much warmth & confidence. She recommended the perfect cocktails & helped us choose a pizza that ended up being one of the highlights of the night. Her suggestions were spot-on & really elevated the whole experience.
Overall, a fantastic evening with excellent food, a fun atmosphere, & standout services.
I really liked the atmosphere & the way this place has been put together - it has a unique charm that makes you excited to be there. However, the wait time was honestly crazy. They don't take reservations after 7 p.m., so it's very unpredictable when you'll actually get seated, especially if your group has more than four people. Be prepared to wait.
In our case, we were celebrating my friend's birthday & ended up waiting about an hour, mostly standing behind the bar, which was far from comfortable. A special occasion should feel a little more organized & welcoming.
I also think the staff could be a bit friendlier. While no one was outright rude, the service lacked warmth. What disappointed me the most was the birthday moment itself - when I asked for a cake, they brought it with no birthday music, even though we noticed birthday music being played for other tables while we were there. It made the experience feel less special. Also, don't expect a complimentary birthday dessert; unlike many bars, they don't offer a small cake on the house. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's something to keep in mind so you can plan ahead.
Another downside was the music volume. While the playlist was great & added to the lively vibe, it was a bit too loud at times, making it difficult to have a normal conversation without raising our voices.
That said, I highly recommend trying the cocktails. They offer some creative & refreshing flavor combinations that you don't find everywhere, & it was definitely the highlight of our visit. Don't miss the pizza breads - they are absolutely delicious & the perfect complement to the drinks. & despite everything, the taste of the cake was truly special & memorable.

Good atmosphere & music, fast service & really good food. The pizza, Poutine & Italian pilsner can be recommended. Seating is not that cozy though, hence 4 starts instead of 5, but still a really good place for drinks & food 😊
Great spot with an awesome ambiance. It can be very very loud inside the restaurant, so I usually prefer the amazing rooftop in the summer. All of their appetizers are solid, & the pickle pizza is surprisingly really good. Definitely worth a visit.
Belle découverte. Carte des vins impressionnante. La pizza était excellente. Cacophonie hallucinante quand l'endroit est plein par contre. Comme c'est le cas dans 99,9% des bars, l'acoustique est abominable. C'est pénible de se parler. 😒😉
Great place to go for drinks after work. The food is excellent. We had a few of the meals from the snack menu: mixte olives, Chicken Schnitzel was amazing!! Love how fresh the flavors are. & can't go wrong with the Margherita pizza.

Belle découverte. l'entrée ne paye pas de mine, mais l'intérieur est magnifique & la terrasse est superbe. À envisager pour un beau coucher de soleil romantique.
Les cocktails sont excellents & les pizzas sont à recommander.

A hidden gem in Mile end. In a gentrifying location. Kind of a NY style , stylish bar/resto. Well designed bar area but the real treat is the Roof top lounge. Fills up quickly on a sunny day & there are no reservations. Fun menu. Pizza , upscale hot dogs & many other non-traditional treats. Worth a treat & a pint of beer.
This place has it all if you are looking for a simple but flavourful meal.
We stopped by for a nice dinner with friends from out of town. We were floored by how beautiful the space is. At first we had to sit in the kitchen because we were a large group, but they fed us until a table was available.
What a feast!!!
I wasn't sure how much I was going to like hotdogs for dinner … apparently I do a lot.
I think the pizza is nice but hotdogs is the way to go. They even make veggie options 😍.
Side note, our server Lambert was amazing. Everyone was really nice but he stole the show. Come try this place & be amazed for yourself.

J'ai été souper avec mon copain ce soir, c'était excellent. Nous avons été servi par Raphaël, un service impeccable.
Nos avons sélectionné les pizzas (Saucisses & Gigi) toutes les deux excellentes. Les cocktails? idem, nous avons même eux des recommandations de notre serveur tant qu'à nos choix. Nous voulions accéder à la terrasse, très bon service pour l'attente en bas, finalement la salle à manger & l'ambiance était tellement agréable que nous avons choisi du rester. Une soirée impeccable ✨
Really great hidden gem! The cocktails are super tasty - drink responsibly! I had some nachos & I bet you they were home made & the salsa had to have been home made because it was so fresh! My wife ordered a pizza & even that was great. A simple Margarita pizza full of flavor!
If you're on the fence of where to go, make a point of going to Atlantic!
The service here is excellent, the cocktails are classy, tasty, & generously boozy & the food is top notch. I had a white negroni & a sausage pizza amd a salad & my stomach was full & I wasn't disappointed.
Great atmosphere, lots of greenery inside with mature plants living indoors, great great service with people that really know their menu & their wine, delicious food, I got to taste their pizza & fries & had a really great time. Recommend!

Un très bel endroit, à la décoration chaleureuse & à la terrasse (chauffée) très agréable ! La carte de vin est bien fournie & les pizzas sont délicieuses !
This is one of those "technically (& in this case, actually very much) a bar, but the kitchen is so good it may as well be a restaurant" places. Great wine & beer selections, cool space, friendly service, & the food is a whole thing. We had the pizza with homemade'nduja, the kale salad & the salmon rillettes, & they were all bonkers. Looking forward to coming back.
