Diners describe Tacos Tin Tan as a lively spot with authentic Mexican flavors, standout birria tacos and other favorites like fish and al pastor, and a menu that shines especially for brunch and bold drinks. The vibes are warm and colorful with friendly staff most of the time, and many customers praise fresh guacamole, good mezcals, and creative twists on classics. However, some visits have fallen short with slow or uneven service, delays in taking orders, and in a few cases small portions or bland elements for the price. Several tasters note that portions can feel tight for the cost, and a few cases mention changes to recipes that affected the overall experience. Overall for taco lovers the place remains a major draw with consistently strong flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, though expectations around portion size and service quality can vary by visit.
I went with a very high expectation because of the good reviews it has, sadly the fish tacos are bland, they only taste like grease :(
On the other hand, the quesabirria is very nice & Aguas frescas are good for someone with sweet tooth

Love their decor's displayed & atmosphere....not big shop but very comfy place. Ordered their guacamole, taco birria, al pastor & fish ....taste really good & the generous filling making four of us adults felt so full. The best Mexican tacos in Saint Denis Street.
The place had a really nice vibe to it... The server was very nice as well... We had fish , shrimp, al pastor & carnitas.... All of them tasted really nice... The server gave us extra onions as well... I would say it was a little costly on pricing...
The best tacos in Montreal 10/10. we ordered a guacamole as a starter & the tacos were birria that is accompanied with consommé, fish tacos & rib eye quesadillas, the tacos have a unique & delicious flavor. We loved the mojito & the margarita The service was excellent.
We ended up there by chance; the terrace we initially wanted to go to was full, but we were not disappointed! Their terrace overlooking Rue Saint-Denis was charming, the service was quick & courteous, the food was good, & the portions were generous. The cocktails were great, the ceviche fish was fresh, & the guacamole was, of course, delicious. As for the tacos, we chose the Al Pastor & Birria; both were good, but not exceptional. Overall, it is a nice little place 🙃🌮
Food took over an hour to come. Had to ask for napkins because they gave us 2 for a 5 people. The fish tacos were basic.. says breaded , but they were battered & deep fried, which is exactly what I didn't want. Says it comes with coleslaw on taco, there was none. Over priced for all the tacos.
Our #1 spot for tacos in Montreal. We've been visiting for over six years & love coming back. The fish & chicken tacos are a must-try & the staff kindly accommodates our German Shepherd on the patio which is why we make this a must-stop spot every time we're in town. We 💛 Tacos Tin Tan.
Went there tonight with a buddy, food & service were impeccable. I highly recommend the taco with the pineapple & the fish taco. also, test the hot sauce before pouring, the orange one packs a punch. It gets a little hot inside but terrasse is available. Try this place out, you'll like it.
The best tacos!!! We got birria & fish tacos & they were all incredible, perfectly juicy, saucy, tasty, just yum. Cute little terrace & friendly service!

The taco was good especially the beef! Also good with the beef soup as sides. But overall fried parts are a bit too greasy, whether it's the fried fish or the fried taco shells
We were a little bit disappointed with the amount of guac given, especially considering it was $12, & it wasn't anything special. However the tacos were delightful! The fish tacos were perfectly fried & the texture was super light - with the addition of their spicy salsa the combination was perfection! The marinade on the el pastor & chicken tacos were also delicious. I would recommend if you're looking for tacos in Montreal, however be aware of the price ($5 per taco).
I went last night for dinner & it was my 1st time eating there but definitely won't be my last. I started with the tortilla soup then had the fish tacos & tried the strawberry Jarritos to drink & it was ALL DELICIOUS! The staff was friendly & courteous. I'll definitely go back during the warmer months & sit out in their gazebo! The staff & the service were both excellent!!! & it's handicap friendly having been disabled myself for the past 10 years! It's worth the detour & you'll feel like you've been transported to the islands with their decor & their music playing in the background 😉
