They were so kind !! We had a misunderstanding with our order (that was entirely our fault) & they brought us one burrito instead of two. They were so apologetic & gave us free chips & guacamole as an apology. Entirely unnecessary & very sweet, & the food was amazing!!View more

I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon - it was pretty empty. I saw many videos & ads on social media beforehand so that is how I found out about this place. The evening atmosphere based on the videos seems much livelier - an ideal party spot. We wanted to try some beef birria tacos however were told they were not yet ready - in a way, that is good news if they are making it fresh to anticipate the dinner ruch. We settled for other types of beef tacos & some type of a quesadilla. These are served with guacamole, lime, & a fresh cream - similar to sour cream. At the table, there are 2 bottles of sauces - these were tasty but both extremely spicy for our liking. The taco plates are not served with any sides & are in the $20 range. I found this to be pricey as the portion initially looked small, but they are all well stuffed so end up being very filling. The flavors were fresh, well seasoned & very tasty. It hit the spot. Service was friendly & prompt, our server was hispanic & did not speak much english or french however. Note that they do offer an all-you-can-eat special on some nights of the weeks for tacos as well as chicken wings - this is worth the price if you have a large appetite. Nous avons célébré l'anniversaire d'une amie. (20 personnes)...le local est trop petit pour celebrer des anniversaires. Tu manges tassé & bcp de confusion au moment de servire les plats! Mon copain à prit un plat de burritos, au moment ou la serveuse allais mettre le plat sur la table, le petit pot de guacamole qui vient avec son assiette est tomber par terre. Elle le ramasse & le remet sur son assiette. Je lui ai dis de le changer vu qu'il etait tombé au sol! Jai du demander à une autre serveuse d'en ramener un autre. Nourriture froide sans gout mexicain. En plus, je demande de l'eau a la serveuse. Elle amène une bouteille de naya 500ml. Ok tout va bien jusqu'à ce que je lui pose la question. Va tu me charger le naya? Elle dis oui c'est 1 $! Il y avais un avis d'ebullition d'eau dans le quartier donc, ils nous chargent les bouteilles d'eau!!! Elle aurait du le mentionner que sa coute 1$. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi le client doit payer l'eau quand normalement c'est gratuit. Les plats mexicains sont pas waw! Les tacos de impact tacos sont ben meilleurs avec plus de gout. A great place to eat we went for Saturday early dinner the place was filling up we sat inside they do have a terrace as this part of the street is closed, It's nice as they have QR code menu it's easier than the older ways I find, We went with tacos had 4 each two versions of pork very nice we also had guacamole to start certainley very good quality of food service is fast very friendly my husband went with margarita I just had a beer which was perfect. The restaurant inside does have a lot of tables so can imagine that it gets rather lively. Would certainly ho back great place.View more

It's OK. They serve tacos... so of course I cant give it less than three stars. Service was fairly unorganized & slow. The stereo & music seemed to be the focus of attention. I think it would be much better with one more person on the staff. We ordered nachos & guacamole & the nachos were soaking with oil & it was way too greasy to enjoy. We ordered steak tacos & vegetarian tacos. The steak was poor quality & full or gristle & fat like the kind you can't even chew. The vegetable tacos were filled with the best veggies amd had soooooo much potential but again there was oil pouring out if the side of the taco. If they could make it just with a bit more care, (considering the price) I could look past the slow service we had that particular day & would probably frequent there... Maybe we just hit a bad day for the resto... maybe I'll try again in the future 🤷♀️View more

Accueil chaleureux & service rapide! La terrasse est bien décorée & est très agréable. Le gros + ce sont les plats. Non seulement les portions sont généreuses mais surtout c'est frais ( le guacamole maison est exquis! ). Je reviendrais certainement pour goûter les cocktails qui eux aussi donnaient envie. Love this new restaurant in hochelaga. It's beautiful & they have a terrasse for the summer. The food is truly phenomenal, the tacos & steak quesadillas were amazing. Not the best guacamole I've had, but over everything else was very good. Service was extremely slow...maybe it was just a bad night for our server or she was new, I don't know but the food was so good I'll still go again & not judge too hard on a first visit.View more

I recently had a takeout experience at Tacos Lakalaka Hochelaga that was disappointing for a couple of significant reasons. Firstly, it became apparent that the burritos are likely pre-frozen. The clear giveaway was that everything besides the meat-cream, onions, guacamole, etc.-was provided separately, not integrated into the burrito itself. One would wonder why these wouldn't be included directly within the burrito unless it's pre-made & frozen. Secondly, the tipping expectations set by the establishment are unreasonably high, with the default options starting at 15% but going up to an astounding 30% (which is the first option). Expecting a 30% tip for a meal that seems to lack the fresh, made-to-order quality undermines the essence of gratuity, especially when the product does not meet expectations. While I appreciate the convenience of takeout, the quality & service expectations at Tacos Lakalaka Hochelaga leave much to be desired. It's disheartening, as I had hoped for a better experience.View more
