By far the best tacos in town ! Flavourful, delicious & very generous portions compared to other taco restaurant. Best bang for your buck. No other taco place comes close to this place. The quesa Birria are my favorite. Definitely a must go if you're a taco lover. It literally feels like Mexico in there.

Great tacos & delicious margaritas! The space is a bit small, so it was a bit tricky for our large group, but the service is excellent & the owner is incredibly friendly. A wonderful spot overall!
all i gotta say is RRRIIIICCCOOOOOOO~~~ 🗣🗣🗣 consome a lil more on the tomato-ey side than I was used to but not bad !! you know its good when the location is not the most accessible, & its close to before close but customers still trying to get seated, rodeo on the TV, cumbia through the speakers 🫦👌🏽 would definitely come back, thank you !! got the birria pizza, which they don't sell that often I think, but she's there & she's BUUUSSSSIN.
Oh my lord. The BEST tacos I ate in my LIFE! The crispy tacos with birria, literally melts in your mouth. We drove from east of montreal to eat these & we will do it again because it was THAT good!
Very nice decoration & atmosphere, service is nice, the tacos as well but personally I find the shells lacking something in terms of taste, but I still love it, go to is quesabirria!
30 of us held a party at Don Rigo's. We ate a lot, drank a lot & had the time of our lives! What an incredible place with incredible staff. Untouchable event!

I am updating my review because my recent visit was a completely different story. My first experience was for takeout during the pandemic & it was fairly underwhelming, but dining in this time was fantastic. The food was excellent & the atmosphere is so vibrant, fun, & authentically Mexican. It is a total 180 from my previous visit. I am really glad I gave this place another chance because everything from the flavors to the energy of the space was spot on. My family & I had a great time & we will definitely be back. If you had a mixed experience before, it is absolutely worth a second look.
This place is truly a hidden gem for Mexican food in the West Island. The moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to Mexico rather than Canada. The ambiance is lively & full of energy, with vibrant colors & great vibes throughout the restaurant.
You can immediately tell how popular it is. When I arrived around 6 PM for takeout, there wasn't a single empty table, & at least 10 people were already lined up for pickup - I was 10th in line. Within minutes, another 6-7 people joined behind me. Despite the crowd, everything moved quickly & efficiently.
Now, the food - we ordered a Vegetarian Bowl & a Burrito. The flavors were completely different from typical franchise-style Mexican spots. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, & full of character. Service was impressively fast, even during the rush.
The seating capacity is around 30-35 people, so it does get crowded, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be enjoying both the food & the ambiance.
Overall, this is a must-visit spot if you want to experience flavorful Mexican food & a vibrant atmosphere.
In my experience the best, most authentic Mexican restaurant in Montreal. Not a corporate American Disneyland version of Mexican dining, but the real thing. The decor is vintage Mexicana brought by the owner from his family ranch in Mexico. Colorful & genuine. Even using horse saddles as seats on side. The food is amazing. Fresh & a varied menu. The prices are reasonable & the service excellent with a friendly Latina staff. Also a well-stocked bar which has an excellent reputation for its margaritas.
Seating in winter is very limited & it's always a tight fit. But always worth it!

The food at this place is definitely worth the price.
The atmosphere is really classic & has the pure Mexican touch the decorations & restaurant setting has a great traditional Mexican vibe.
I found a used bandaid in my taco. I've filed a food safety complaint with the Quebec government. To anyone who sees this, please avoid this restaurant.
The owner is the best! Amazing authentic food, great drinks, & fun atmosphere! Great for a large party or just 2 people. The best Mexican I have had in a very long time I can't wait to return.
