Review Summary

Reviewers describe Sutton Brouërie as a cozy, scenic spot where pub fare highlights local ingredients and the beer list showcases the brewery’s craft along with a strong selection of Quebec microbrews; notable mentions include a creamy dark stout and other brettanomyces fermented beers, plus a beet beer that adds a surprising earthy note, while the menu ranges from generous poutines and burgers to lighter bites; service is praised for warmth and attentiveness on some visits but can feel slow or impersonal at peak times, and some dishes are described as overpriced or inconsistent; accommodations get high marks for comfort, style, and convenient ski and dine packages, with many guests enjoying well appointed rooms and easy check in, though a few suites are criticized for layout and practical shortcomings; the setting near trails and on a riverfront terrace makes it a popular base for outdoor activity and a go to for apres ski, lunch, or dinner, with overall sentiment leaning positive for beer quality, atmosphere, and hospitality, while acknowledging variability in value and service.

Foods pretty good. Pouting was decent, but there wasnt much of a buffalo chicken flavor. Serving is very big, its worth the price.

Friend from California wanted to try local beer. We were amazed at the speed & attention of the service. Thank you Shona & Vickie. The broccoli soup was exceptional, great flavor & consistency. Experience was so great we visited a room so we can return. Great layout. Keep up the good work everyone 👏

Service lent & tarif excessif.

We booked a family room, but when we arrived we were told that room was no longer available & were given a different room that didn't have enough beds. There was no proper explanation or effort to make things right.

Very slow dinner service despite an almost empty dining room.

Pour les chambres c'est nickel.
Pour la nourriture, c'est très ordinaire. Beaucoup d'autres choix sur la rue

We were in Sutton with a purpose but only for overnight which we really decided at the last minute. I had read about the place online so I knew for the most part that this is a pub restaurant with hotel accommodations overtop of the Sutton Micro Brewery. I wish I had gotten the name of the young lady who checked us in because she was fantastic & could not have been more welcoming. I mean, this is the type of person you want upfront of your establishment because she simply could not be any better - & in my humble opinion, she should be teaching other members of the staff on customer service, because the one who checked us out was the other end of the spectrum in terms of friendliness.
Accommodation: We stayed in something called a King Suite which did in fact have an extremely comfortable king size bed. I mean, more than just comfortable; the kind of bed you don't want to get out of but have to. But, our enjoyment of the bed again was the other end of the spectrum. The room was odd & very very uncomfortable - the king bed is up a flight of stairs & is the only thing in the'loft' whereas everything else is on the main level where you enter.
There is no such thing as a comfortable Hide-a-bed; not for sitting nor sleeping. We did not open the bed of course but even trying to sit on the'couch' was so uncomfortable as you are kinds pushed forward at your bottom with your top leaning too far backward…it was just so odd & uncomfortable. There were no easily accessible plugs anywhere in the place…e.g. to plug in the kettle to make a tea, you had to balance the kettle base unit on the corner of the sink & use the bathroom wall outlet as nothing else reached. There were no spoons for the coffee/tea in the room & no way to stir your hot beverage. There was no milk or creamers for the coffee or tea. The coffee was a French press but again nothing to measure the coffee to go into the press so you kinda'dump' the grounds into the press & hope for the best. There was some sort of swing out contraption very small table from the wall for a mini desk that I was afraid was not able to hold my laptop for a needed work meeting. I had to secure it with a waste basket just to use it. There was only one chair to sit other than the uncomfortable hide-a-bed couch. The small fridge in the unit was balanced on two boards & very easy if touched the wrong way would fall (I know because I caught it). So to sum this part up…the bed which was upstairs & away from everything else was extremely comfortable & everything else was not in the least comfortable. I should mention that the suite did have a nice sun balcony that we did not use because we were out & about during the day. I really feel that this is a two star at best hotel & that is being generous but there is little to compare it to in the area which is likely why it has a higher rating. We wanted to stay somewhere local in Sutton. The three stars for location is by default as it is conveniently located in Sutton, but in the future we will look elsewhere.

The service could be better, we almost had to run after her to get service. Although, she was very nice.
The poutine fries weren't that good. They where too hard.
Beautiful place with excellent beer.
Honestly I would return just for their beer. It's incredibly good!!!
