They put too much rice in sushis & they are dry. In the end when i explained that to manager he was not considerate & did not do anything to help. He instead arguing that compared to other all you can eat restaurants, he's the best.
First time trying this place & I think it's the last time, below you'll find the ups & lows of the place.
1. There is a weird smell in the place.
2. The chairs is very uncomfortable.
3. They're still using the old system with pencil & papers to place orders.
4. Menu is small but it's a plus, not really a fan of massive menus.
5. The beef tataki shouldn't have grainy dressing it was somewhat appalling.
6. The flavour overall was flat, except their shrimp tempura, fried calamari, & salt & pepper squid. (Which it didn't taste like salt & pepper)
7. The guys that working there are awesome, very fast guys, friendly, & they actually smile.
8. Their pizza the rice wasn't crispy it was soggy.
9. Their rolls & pieces are larger than the usual.
10. I love vanilla ice cream & every all you can eat have at least 4 ice cream flavours they don't. They have fried sesame balls, & some sort of frozen yogurt popsicle.
11. Rice was overcooked.
Would I try it again? Not really sure maybe
Would I recommend it? Not as a first choice but yes.
At the end of the day coming from a chef my pallet is different & I'm extremely picky, go ahead try it out & be the judge
Can't go wrong with all you can eat, you get to try different dishes, service was fast
Although the price is great & the size of the rolls (as well as the size of non-sushi options) is generous, the sushi itself is rather average: limited options & too much rice in my opinion. The place itself is spacious, plenty of seating, but again, very average. If you're hungry though, $20 for all you can eat weekday lunch is hard to beat!
The quality of fish & the rolls offered were actually really good. My hopes were not high due to the ratings, but I was pleasantly surprised! All of the food ordered was really tasty, the fish was really fresh, & everything took a reasonable amount of time to come to the table! I think the only downside is, if you are used to all you can eat sushi restaurants, the menu here seems small. I don't personally mind it, but I can see how some might be put off. The actual restaurant is also dated, but clean nonetheless. I definitely recommended to anyone in the area!
Went on a weekday for the all you can eat lunch & I left there very satisfied. It's worth noting that the best part of the meal was not the sushi, but the side dishes & entrées. Many reviews state that the general tao is good, & I totally agree - one of the best I've ever had. If you mainly want to try this place for their sushi, lower your expectations because it's just ok; except for the torched salmon & eel, those are pretty good. Beautiful decor & polite service add to the experience. Overall a good lunch outing at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go again
Sushi Palace is easily one of the top all you can eat sushi spots in Laval. They're generous with the fish in their rolls, & the quality doesn't disappoint. Beyond sushi, their menu offers a wide variety of tasty dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed & not too noisy, making it a solid choice for a date night. The staff is always friendly & professional, I've never had a bad experience. While reservations aren't mandatory, they're highly recommended, as the place fills up quickly & wait times can get long.
Been to Japan, I know sushis. If you crave for fresh & perfectly rolled sushis, this is the place. Nigiris are also excellent, well balanced between rice & fish. Hot food from the kitchen is tasty. This is a pure gold all-you-can-eat -sushis in Laval.
My go to for all-you-can eat sushi. You cannot go wrong. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, the restaurant inviting & clean. Make sure you reserve in advance, especially Friday, Saturday & Sunday. They are quite popular.
This is a go-to all you can eat spot for most lavalers. Sushi & other Asian foods available. Staff is nice & friendly. Good is made to order.
Food quality is impressive for an all you can eat option. I liked their sushi & they felt fresh. They where tasty! The Octopus sashimi was impressive! Well cooked, not chewy! Their Cuisine (General Tao, Peanut butter chicken) was also good! Not fantastique but good. The chicken fried rice was actually very tasty & i really enjoyed it! Nice spot to eat!
The food was good. It's the concept of eat as much as you want for a price. The quantities ordered are small so you have to order 1.5x-2x per choice.
I liked the food & service. One of the fastest all you can eat sushi places. This place is packed on weekends. We waited 40 minutes for a table. I would have given it 5 stars except for the atmosphere. The restaurant looks pretty boring from the outside. The interior deco is very simple. It does not do the place any good. I wish they work a little on the decoration of the place. On the weekend, the menu has a few extra items to try. That was cool. Just get ready to pay $50 or more per person. Will probably go there again.
Standard all you can eat sushi place; the lunch menu is rather basic for $20 per person before taxes. Nothing fancy. Service is average & the decor is rudimentary.
Below average quality food for a somewhat decent all you can eat price. The sushi was the worst part.
We went 3 times, once in a year. Food is spectacular! Higly recommend. We came in the week, 7 pm on a thursday, the place wasn't too noisy at all! It's an all you can eat sushi. You have to love sushi of corse to go there.
Overall I give it 3 stars. The servers are good & kind compared to other all you can eat sushi. Although I feel like the sushi is not the best. It's bland & doesn't taste that well, kind of like the sushi you can find in a hotel buffet. Although some side dishes like the noodles, sweet & sour chicken, & rice are good. I recommend Sushi St. Denis.
Great service ! Very fast. Pretty fresh food. The all you can eat is worth it.
