Review Summary

Overall, Sushi Palace gets mixed yet generally positive feedback, with many guests praising fresh fish, good flavor, generous portions, and the all‑you‑can‑eat concept that offers variety beyond sushi. Some highlight fast and friendly service, a lively open‑kitchen vibe, and a welcoming atmosphere, while others report slow or disorganized service, ordering on paper, and confusion about what was ordered. Several reviews mention a reasonable price for an AYCE buffet, though a few feel the menu is limited or the quality not as high as expected, especially for the higher‑end price. Several note parking across the street and a family‑friendly environment, but others mention a dated look or minimal decor. Consistency seems variable between lunch and dinner, with lunch often seen as a better value and shorter waits. In sum, Sushi Palace appears to be a solid option for AYCE sushi with good variety and mostly positive experiences, but potential diners should be prepared for variability in service and menu choices.

Avoid at all cost. Bad service. They put too much rice in sushis & they are dry. In the end when i explained that to manager he was not considerate & did not do anything to help. He instead arguing that compared to other all you can eat restaurants, he's the best.

Food was ok , chicken had a weird after taste , the salmon sashimi was actually salmon cubes . The only good thing was the salmon rice paper roll & the desserts & for that price not worth it

First time trying this place & I think it's the last time, below you'll find the ups & lows of the place.

1. There is a weird smell in the place.
2. The chairs is very uncomfortable.
3. They're still using the old system with pencil & papers to place orders.
4. Menu is small but it's a plus, not really a fan of massive menus.
5. The beef tataki shouldn't have grainy dressing it was somewhat appalling.
6. The flavour overall was flat, except their shrimp tempura, fried calamari, & salt & pepper squid. (Which it didn't taste like salt & pepper)
7. The guys that working there are awesome, very fast guys, friendly, & they actually smile.
8. Their pizza the rice wasn't crispy it was soggy.
9. Their rolls & pieces are larger than the usual.
10. I love vanilla ice cream & every all you can eat have at least 4 ice cream flavours they don't. They have fried sesame balls, & some sort of frozen yogurt popsicle.
11. Rice was overcooked.

Would I try it again? Not really sure maybe
Would I recommend it? Not as a first choice but yes.

At the end of the day coming from a chef my pallet is different & I'm extremely picky, go ahead try it out & be the judge

Although the price is great & the size of the rolls (as well as the size of non-sushi options) is generous, the sushi itself is rather average: limited options & too much rice in my opinion. The place itself is spacious, plenty of seating, but again, very average. If you're hungry though, $20 for all you can eat weekday lunch is hard to beat!

Nice place, with amazing service. Ok food overall but they have limited menu even for weekend dinner, the choices for sashimis are limited to salmon & oil fish. & too much rice in their rolls.

Been to Japan, I know sushis. If you crave for fresh & perfectly rolled sushis, this is the place. Nigiris are also excellent, well balanced between rice & fish. Hot food from the kitchen is tasty. This is a pure gold all-you-can-eat -sushis in Laval.

Food quality is impressive for an all you can eat option. I liked their sushi & they felt fresh. They where tasty! The Octopus sashimi was impressive! Well cooked, not chewy! Their Cuisine (General Tao, Peanut butter chicken) was also good! Not fantastique but good. The chicken fried rice was actually very tasty & i really enjoyed it! Nice spot to eat!

Went for dinner with friends & ordered a variety of appetizers & sushi. Very average sushi & food. The sushi & rice was bland & every piece tasted the same. The fried appetizers were oily & gave us all indigestion. Service was friendly & fast. Will not be going back any time soon.

Everything we tried was really good, & we loved that their sashimi is nice & thick. They don't skimp with too much rice. We'll for sure be coming back.

Overall I give it 3 stars. The servers are good & kind compared to other all you can eat sushi. Although I feel like the sushi is not the best. It's bland & doesn't taste that well, kind of like the sushi you can find in a hotel buffet. Although some side dishes like the noodles, sweet & sour chicken, & rice are good. I recommend Sushi St. Denis.

Sushi pieces are rice cucumber & vegetables & little bit of seafood. Not recommending this place to anyone & i definitely don't come back to this place.
Many other places in the same price range offer better food.
Even the sashimi didnt taste good.

Restaurant is very accommodating. I had forgotten to mention my daughter in the reservation & when I called on the day of the reservation, they were able to make the change without any hassle. Food is amazing as usual. We've been going for years & it's always good on a consistent basis. The sushi is always fresh & they have a lot of variety for those who do not eat sushi (like my husband who enjoyed their soup, chicken, wafu shrimp, rice & dumplings). Our server was also very friendly, attentive & we felt taken care of whenever we needed anything. I will definitely be going back & recommend to anyone!

I love sushi, & have made it a goal to try different all-you-can-eat sushi places throughout Laval & Montreal. There have been good ones, & many "never go back" places, but the Laval Sushi Palace is the only sushi place I have been a loyal customer to.
Their service is consistently good, & quick. Many choices to choose from on the menu. Open concept sushi-making. Polite waiters/hostessesses.
Only little remark would be that the food may have that "off day', where the rice is moister than other times= not great. However, the former is not often enough to call it the norm.
