I loved the food; it's been a while since we dropped by, & I recommend trying this place. I ordered the leek/pork ramen with takoyaki, & my friend ordered the mackerel & the sumo ramen. We also had mochi ice cream for dessert. Service was great, & the atmosphere was cozy!

Le Sumon Ramen est un restaurant parfait pour nos envies de la cuisine japonaise. Je vous recommande fortement de goûter Leur crêpe japonaise Okonomiyaki , ainsi que leurs ramen. Le restaurant se trouve proche de la station Place des armes si vous souhaitez prendre le transport en commun. Il y a également des stationnements payant & stationnement de rue.
J'ai pris les ramen au kimchi, c'était vraiment très bon ! Attention à ceux qui n'aiment pas épicé, ça l'est à cause du kimchi. Très bons ramens, service rapide. C'était une très bonne expérience & je recommande !

ça fait 15 ans je suis a Montréal & j'pense je vais au Sumo Ramen depuis toujours!! J'y suis aller aujourd'hui après une longue absence... Toujours aussi bon & services super efficace!!! Merci a Monsieur Johnson pour sa gentillesse & l'excellent service!! Toujours un plaisir & je reviendrais bientôt pour une 1000000 fois!!
Excellent ramen, les nouilles sont trop bonnes & les portions très généreuses! Bonne chance pour choisir une entrée, tout est délicieux c'est difficile de choisir :)
Mon copain & moi adorons ce resto. La bouffe est fraiche, les ramens sont délicieux, le service est impeccable! Johnson est un ange, vraiment sympathique! 100/10!!
Sumo Ramen has been around for 15 years & It took a lot of time & effort to build this brand. I do not understand people who judge the food & their experience because of little details. If you ever have constructive comments, I am sure the staff & the manager will be happy to hear & adapt. Why ruin their reputation on google like this. Your taste is personal. If you didn't it, you just don't go next time, that's is. It's a LOCAL private family owned restaurant & not a franchise. A lot of recipes are made WITHOUT MSG. I mean...if you like food with plenty of unhealthy ingredients, go for it! Maybe this restaurant is not for you, it's fine. I would say haters gotta hate. I personally love this restaurant for the food , the staff & their values. They want to provide their customers with homemade food while dining out. I have been dining there since they have opened. I'm a big fan of this restaurant. I know the entrance could be confusing because it leads to the 2nd floor. Again Why do you rate 3 stars because the restaurant is located in the second floor? If the rent would have been cheaper, don't you think they wouldn't want a local on the ground floor? Anyhow, I will forever support this restaurant. Thank you for the good food & the friendly staff. Les ramens étaient super bons! Bon éventail de choix de ramens végétariens avec bouillon végé aussi! Le service était très courtois & assez rapide malgré la quantité de monde dans le resto. Tables un peu proches, mais ça fait partie de l'ambiance. Je recommande pour un bon ramen dans le quartier chinois.
Malgré le fait que la nourriture soit acceptable, soyez vigilants quant au prix facturés sur l'addition versus ceux affichés sur le menu. J'ai noté à de multiples reprises que l'administration a comme politique de majorer le coût des items & ce de façon répétitive.
Ramen tastes absolutely delicious. The volcano ramen & Sumo ramen are highly recommended. Soup is bold & faty. I wish the ramen noodle would be thicker. Good customer service. The location is on 2nd floor of building, quite hidden from the street. If the cashier counter would decorate better it will be impressed. Overall, nice to try once
