First time here & it didn't disappoint. Decided why hold back....took the grilled octopus. I know octopus is always expensive. It was flavorful & tender. Then took the 17oz rib roast. It was the best ive had so far. Didn't get a lot of au jus on the plate so but I should have asked for more. Also ordered a baked potato but it came plain...others had their loaded. Was never asked how I wanted it...just thought their would have come loaded. For dessert I wanted to try the key lime pie but they didn't have any. Soni took the cheesecake....it was ok but I'm particular with my cheesecakes. overall a great experience but a fairly expensive one. Would come back for special occasions.

I really enjoyed my experience in sterlings even though it was a week day on a Tuesday but i chose it for my birthday dinner & i don't regret it!

There are under five (5) places in Montreal & surrounding areas that I can contest to having the utmost superior customer service & quality of food I have experienced. Sterling's has made the grade! Manager Joy, Servers JP & Sam, treated my Brother & me like we were the only customers in the place that mattered....at Lunchtime! The Staff were proud & happy to fix a small issue with results that were over & above necessary that made the both of us embarrassed for having pointed it out....even the owner came to our table to ensure we were happy. Wow! Gibbys should send some of their staff here for training! The escargot were light, not abused by the garlic, lightly blanketed with cheese that was not gummy nor be mistaken as Frisbee. The mashed potatoes were perfect & the prime rib roast beef is the best I have had in the Montreal area. (Sam, you were right!) This will be my new place to go as I definitely want to try other items on the menu!
Sterlings offre de la nourriture de qualité pour un prix très intéressant. J'ai pu profiter de leur table d'hôte de fin de soirée pour vraiment pas cher & ça valait le coût. Il n'est pas au même niveau que Moishes, Gibbys ou encore Rib n Reef, mais il reste tout de même une bonne option pour un bon steak à Laval.
Came for my friends party on Sunday. We were loud & probably a bit obnoxious but the waiting staff was calm & very welcoming. The food was equally good. There's a wide variety of choices to meet anyone at any price point & enjoy the experience of being in such a fine restaurant. From ribs to steak you can't go wrong. My only regret is that I didnt try the seafood. Shout out Yuna & Ryan( I'm sorry if that's not your name I kind forgot)
Friend of ours thought it was time we try out this restaurant that she frequents. So we jumped in the car & made our way to Laval & sat in this very well decorated restaurant that made you feel at home in a calming environment, you know the one, no kids & no dogs barking. The music volume was set just right, where you were able to have a lovely conversation among friends. Great atmosphere to enjoy your meal that you will definitely talk about on your drive home. You are now wondering why I talking so much about the restaurant itself & not the food? How many times have you dropped hundreds of dollars for a special occasion & the restaurant had the music so loud you couldn't tell your server what you are ordering. People all raising their voices so they can carry a conversation? Well now lets talk about the food, the pictures will speak thousands of words. I highly, & I mean highly recommend the BBQ octopus, the Prime Rib & the lobster tails were 10/10 eyes closed. The Rib Steak was cook properly medium rare but I like to have it basted with warm butter & finally two last were calamari could have stayed one more minute & Lamb Chops touch over by one minute but all in all I highly recommend Sterlings Steakhouse for those special occasions.
The food was great. We had the rib steak & the sirloin with brie cheese. Sam, our waiter was attentive & funny. Service was at the speed required for such a meal. We will surely go back. One note for the owner, those were not grilled vegetables as described on the menu but otherwise, a very pleasant evening. Thank you.

I've been to Sterling numerous times & always order the rib steak as it's excellent. The manager stopped by to check if everything was to our liking, which I really appreciated. Excellent service as always!
The food at Sterlings was outstanding , my rib steak was cooked to perfection, as well as the surf & turf for my significatif other .
The ambience was ideal it's a beautiful restaurant & very comfortable .

Went for lunch with my wife & honestly had a great time. Lunch menu at $45 including bread, entrée, main & dessert was a great deal. Service was impecable & attentive. The atmosphere was also very nice. Prime rib & bavette were cooked medium rare as requested. Plenty of free bread & loads of sauces for fries. Would definatley go again

My husband & I had the pleasure of being served by Olivia. She was polite, pleasant & attentive. A beautiful smile & presence. Service such as hers is almost non-existent. We loved everything about our lunch date. The exceptional food. Escargot gratinée, greek salad, a real greek salad. Delicious. Tomato, basil & rice soup, with filet mignon & rapini with garlic & rib steak with baked potato. Both plates had roasted veggies as well. We finished off with espressos & we shared a crème brûlée. We found space lol. The atmosphere was intimate & cleanliness on point. Washrooms included. Well done Sterlings. See you again soon. Thanks again Olivia. You made our experience great. 🙏🏻
My experience at Sterling Steakhouse was a bit of a mixed bag. The ribs were tasty-tender, falling off the bone, & full of flavor. You can tell they put effort into preparing them, & they were definitely enjoyable. One thing to note is the portion size. The ribs were much smaller than what I'm used to at other places serving baby back ribs, so if you're really hungry, it might not fully hit the spot. Service was on the slow side, but the waiter was friendly & attentive that it made up for the wait. While waiting, the hot bread they serve is a nice touch-fresh, warm, & a great way to keep you going until the main course arrives. The atmosphere was nice & cozy, with that classic steakhouse vibe. If you're looking for a relaxed meal with flavorful, well-prepared ribs, don't mind smaller portions, & enjoy a slower pace, it's worth a visit.
Ordered the 75$ ribeye & it was a huge disappointment, it was very dry & lacked taste. On top, the fries were really basic. For the price, I expected a lot better. So not recommend & will not be going back.
We recently celebrated my mom's birthday at this restaurant & it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion. The staff went above & beyond to make our night memorable, providing impeccable service & making sure every detail was taken care of. The steaks were simply outstanding-cooked to perfection, juicy, & full of flavor. We tried the ribeye & filet mignon, both of which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The sides were equally impressive; the creamy mashed potatoes & the sautéed asparagus were the perfect complements to our meals. & the dessert was the cherry on top-their signature cheesecake was the best we've ever had! The attention to detail, from the quality of the food to the personalized service, truly made this a night to remember. Sterling steakhouse is a gem, & we can't wait to return for another amazing meal. Highly recommend it for any special occasion or just a great night out

We had a great time tonight, served by the lovely Sophia. She was so nice & came to check up on us several times to make sure we had everything. Once you are seated, they quickly bring out warm breads which were delicious : cripsy on the outside & fluffy inside. For starters, we had the clam chowder, the oysters, the seafood platter & the escargot. Everything was good & tasted great. For main dishes, we all liked the rib eye & the filet mignon, which was cooked to our specified liking. Overall, a good spot for steak & $$$ dining.
Je suis un GRAND amateur de la Côte de boeuf au jus. J'en ai mangé partout au Québec, Canada & au US. Au Québec, oubliez les populaires Keg, Baton Rouge, Rib N Reef, etc à qui je donne une note de 3 à 6 sur 10 Sérieusement ! Plus jamais ! Sterling était ma première visite aujourd'hui... pis y'était temps que j'y aille ! Le MEILLEUR Prime Rib au jus au Québec. Tendre comme du beurre, juteux & gouteux. Légèrement plus cher... mais je préfère ça plutôt que de payer une pièce de viande qui est totalement décevante. De plus, mes hôtes Sam & Frank ont été un atout à mon expérience au Sterling. De l'accueil au service... l'expérience a été exceptionnelle. On se reverra très bientôt...
Picked this spot for their Ribeye Steak! Lucky for us, it was also lobster fest. Very large servings! Lobster Roll Feature & Ribeye.
Perhaps the cow wasn't cooperating for us - the ribeye was not the greatest for the price point.
Would definitely recommend this spot & would definitely eat here again.
