Incredible steak! I got the classic steak frites & it was cooked perfectly. I love the unlimited fries. The escargot was also amazing! I would skip the beef tartare next time.
Also, it's BYOB. We saw a table next to us who brought a 6 pack of beer & a bottle of wine. & they chill it for you, too. Wish we knew!
Incredibly friendly staff. They were kind, & attentive. The food was good overall, just not great. Lovely, warm, & inviting atmosphere.
Perfect BYOB spot that won't break the bank. Service is good, beef & salmon tartare are delicious. Only little hiccup is that they changed the menu & there's no more of their mussels on there. It was a great option for non beef eaters!
Definitely would come again.
Nouveau menu très varié. Bonne nourriture.
Seul bémol, une serveuse parlait uniquement anglais. Plutôt ordinaire. :(
The food & service was very good. The waiter was professional & polite. The stake quality was very good.
This place had impeccable food & service on point very fast & very respectful was a little noisy tho but that didnt bother me much
Great food, bottomless fries, friendly service. Bring your own wine! Loved it
The food was nice everything was ok my only thing is the signature sauce was not that good the pepper sauce the steak is the best & to add the brochette of shrimps made the whole difference
Food was excellent. Our server was lovely & on point. When he took our order, I said'we'll let the birthday girl order first' & when our meal finished & we were talking about dessert, he brought her a cake with a sparkler. Very nice. He ensured our cups were full all night & was very attentive. Great service!
Bring your own wine! Food is consistently good, staff knowledge is detailed.
Always smooth service & staff friendly.
Did you know you can bring your own alcohol here? Everyone had a bottle of wine just for themselves. Legendary.
I don't know how to take off a couple stars in the rating for how dull the knives were. So, 40 times attempting to slice my steak - that's 80 strokes total - & the tendons were not cut... So I asked for a sharper knife, (aside: at my new knife request, the lady next to me chimed in saying that their knives were also terrible) which was just larger in size & only took 20 attempts at 40 strokes total. Yes, I counted. Usually a steak as small as a fillet mignon is still warm at the last bite but this was the first time my entire dish was stone cold not even halfway through. It was cooked correctly but I've never had sore hands from eating a steak dinner. If I had an entire bottle of wine with dinner I suppose I would not have minded the surprise workout as much. I was fighting for a buzz as hard as I was trying not to lose a digit or accidentally fling my plate's contents in the slicing process.
Our waiter was nice enough, I can tell they work hard there. It was a funny way to end the visit to Montreal, & I would go back there again with more alcohol & my own steak knife.
