THAT SAID, I still had an amazing time: the food was delicious (reminded me of Polish home cooking from my childhood), the service was kind & helpful when I didn't recognize a dish or the name of an ingredient, & OMG THE PIANO playing. It was like stepping into Westworld. I loved every moment in that restaurant.View more
Located in the heart of Old Port, this Polish restaurant stands out as one of the most memorable spots of the year. I tried their renowned pierogies & schnitzel-hands down the best pierogies I've ever had. I'll definitely be returning. Great service too.View more

Amazingly delicious place!! Warm & cozy! We loved the Dill Pickle soup & the beet consume with the mushroom tortellini. We tried the sampler platter & it was fantastic! We are planning to come back for dinner!!! Definitely worth the effort to eat here. The service was friendly & efficient & everyone was so nice!View more
Food: always good. During covid I went there every time I could to support them Service: I was a bit disappointed this time. Service was slower than usual, we waited for 20' before getting the drinks & we had to ask twice to 2 different waiter/ waitress. & I noticed that the wait staff paid more attention on the floor than people, they often missed the call gesture from clients Atmosphere: lighting is BAD. Piano player is amazing!View more
This place was great! The food was excellent! Try the perogis, stroganoff, & the kielbasa entree! So good. The atmosphere & service were top notch.View more
Simply amazing. Came in around 9:30 pm on a Saturday & were seated right away. Ordered the pickle soup as an appetizer. Then for our mains we got the cheese & potato pierogis, & the kielbasa sausage (with potato salad, mustard, & sauerkraut). For dessert, we shared a crepe. All of the food was incredibly delicious. In addition to the perfect food, the live piano & the vibe of the place is great. Our waitress was amazing too.View more
View more

A cozy spot for delicious & satisfying Polish food. Excellent perogies & kielbasa.View more
Not going to lie the only experience I previously had with Polish food was the acknowledgement that perogies exist. Thank goodness for the introduction from Stash Cafe. The ambiance is moody, with dark red lanterns & piano music, like an old speakeasy in your grandparents neighborhood. But the food... perogies are delicious dumplings (cheese & potato were my favorite!). Loved the pickled white fish as well. The entire meal was warm & delicious, the perfect pick me up after walking in the snow & cold. The only thing that didn't make me reminisce about my imaginary Polish grandmother was the dessert. It was fine, but there are plenty of places you can go to really satisfy a sweet tooth. Focus on the food & you can't go wrong.View more
Great food, service & ambiance - Piano player was not too loud. Call ahead & make a reservation, just in case it is busy! Food was Very authentic, I should know my parents are Polish!!View more
Belle ambiance, toutefois la nourriture manquait un peu de goût & de saveur à mon avis. Le service était amical & assez rapide.View more
We went to Stash Cafe for our annual Christmas dinner. Newer to Montreal, we wanted a taste of home & the traditional dishes we often eat at Christmas time. The meal was delicious & the ambiance was amazing. We ordered the potato pancakes, borcht, perogies, kielbasa, sauerkraut, & schnitzel. All were so tasty & brought us the comfort of a home cooked Christmas meal. We will definitely be back!View more
Traditional, warm & friendly atmosphere & makes you forget where you are.....feels like homeView more
Excellent! Copieux, satisfaisant, différent. Parfait, surtout lorsqu'il fait plus froid. On est loin de la petite salade verte.View more
A truly exotic trip right in the loveliest part of Old Montreal. You will find yourself in Poland with the very best it has to offer. It's been a constant favorite for me for over 30 years now. Yesterday, I introduced it to my grandchild. She adored it. Also a special mention to Edouardo our waiter for his constant attention & great friendly service.View more
The food was excellent. Don't know if I'll ever have a better sausage & sauerkraut, & it's affordable! I really hope to return & try the pierogis & desserts.View more
