Dinner on Friday night.
Lunch on Saturday.
(It was that good.)
If you love Eastern European cuisine, this is your place.
We tried:
Dill soup. Latkes. Perogies. Cabbage rolls. Breaded chicken. Sauerkraut. Beet salad. Everything 💯
Can't say enough abt this place. Food. Atmosphere. Cozy dining room. (Live piano player)
Would be wise to make a reservation.View more
Visited a couple of days ago. There were two of us, & I asked to sit at a four-person table in an almost empty restaurant. They refused, stating that larger tables were only for bigger groups. However, as we were leaving, I noticed three other couples seated at the very tables I had requested, even though the restaurant was still half-empty.
This is not the right way to treat customers, especially on a first visit. First & last.View more
Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff & the amazing accordionist was the cherry on top! Dzi?ki very much!View more
What a surprise this spot was! We had never eaten Polish food before & boy have we been missing out. The food was great! Our server was super nice & helped us get the best food for our first time. We left stuffed & happy. Loved the cabbage & mushroom pierogis plus the potato pancakes along with the barszcz (beet soup) make sure to add the mushroom dumplings. The sauerkraut is warm & so so delicious. The piano player is phenomenal & plays covers of popular songs. The ambiance is kitschy & cozy. Make reservations or go early because this place is popular. A must when in Montreal.View more
Went here for Valentine's day with the fiancée, food was absolutely delicious, ambiance with the dimmed lights, suspended paintings, very nice. The pianist at the entrance was super chill & welcomed us warmly. The whole experience was awesome. When do you go out to a polish restaurant?? Definitely worth our time. Will go back for sure!View more
Super sympathique & ambiance chaleureuse avec pianiste. Très romantique. J'adore la cuisine polonaise!View more

I have been coming here for years & it never disappoints
I had the herring to start & it was perfect not too tangy with sour cream to boot
My main course was the weinerschnitzel & omg it was so huge did not think I could finish it .Thank g-d I skipped lunch
The Polish beer Zwiec went well wilth the meal
The place was hopping & full yet they could place for walk ins
The piano player added a nice background
I look forward to being back here asapView more
What?!
Le coût de la vie explose, mais c'est toujours au consommateur de suivre la règle'traditionnelle' du pourcentage ?! Désolé, mais je ne reviendrai pas.View more
Amazing greeting, service, food & most importantly, the vybe. There was a guy playing live piano. I would really recommend.View more
I will dream about this place. Everything was perfectly cooked & tasted the way it should. Overall cool vibe & atmopsphere. The only thing was is that.. it was very silent lol. My friend & I felt like we had to whisper. I'd recommend having a little background music. Maybe it was just during the time I was there. Anyways, 10/10 would recommend.View more
Would die for this restaurant. I'm never disappointed when I go. The staff is friendly & the food is always fantastic. Always a bonus when the pianist is there! Definitely recommend eating your weight in pierogi.View more
I loved Stash Cafe, the atmosphere was super unique & cozy. They have created the perfect environment to enjoy hearty comforting meals. The pricing & portions was very good value for the overall experience. I will definitely be returning.
Highlights: Cabbage rolls were super tender, flavourful, & the right amount of meat.
The warm sauerkraut goes perfectly with the pork schnitzel.
The potatoes were so fluffy too & everything was seasoned nicely nothing was bland in the slightest.
Bonus points for the subtle live music from the pianist.View more
There's not a lot of places in the old port area that are both good & affordable. Plus, the place is super cute!View more
Cozy, comfortable & very welcoming, from the quality & quantity of food to the warmth of the staff, it's a great place for a meal with friends or family, or at the bar if you're on your own. & the piano player has been playing there for 28 years! Say hi - he's very friendly & keeps playing while you chat!View more
