Our favorite Polish restaurant on either side of the border. We discovered this delicious place on an anniversary trip in 2016 to see Patrick Watson in concert. Have been talking about Stash Cafe food since. Finally returned this weekend for my birthday dinner. Love, love, love the food & atmosphere. I highly recommend anything on the menu, but especially the mushroom pierogi. We also enjoyed the live piano music in the background.View more
Everything is great about this place! Starting with food & finishing with the atmosphere. I especially recommend it to people who like Slavic food. Order "Debutant" because it is a mix of almost everything on the menu.View more
The first time we visited we got vodka & pickle as a gift! Since then every time we visit there is great food, service, & a calming red noire atmosphere! Highly recommend if you're in Old MontrealView more
I have only amazing things to say about this place. Hands down one of the best eating experiences I've ever had; we were sat in a cozy window during a snowstorm. The pink lights set such a warm ambience & the live piano player (who played NIRVANA!!) just added to the lovely time spent here. & the food was incredible - I have never throughly enjoyed a meal like I did here. We ordered placki for our appetizer, which were the right amount of crisp & delicious needed for potato pancakes with excellent sour cream on the side. For our meals we split the beef pierogi, classic cheese & potato, & a dish of kielbasa with boiled potatoes & homemade, warm sauerkraut. We ended the meal with a cappuccino & their peach cobbler with sweet cream. Simply an amazing, delicious time spent here. I highly recommend to anyone.View more
An old favorite Old Montreal restaurant of mine back in the day is still there & apparently as popular as ever - full house for lunch on Friday December 29. Quick & friendly service, reasonable prices & great, varied & genuine Polish fare. & the decor is super cozy, esconsed in a 1800s building with thick stone walls & wood beams. Highly Recommend.View more
The pianist playing in the background was great & really good service & last but not least, amazing food! Highly recommend :)View more
What a lovely restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. I love the live music & the decoration. They have amazing beers & tasty cocktails to choose. Their Polish food is very delicious. Not 100% authentic but still very delicious. I highly recommend!View more

Pierogi was nothing special. Just perogis. The sznycel was not good at all. The meat was tough & chewy, the coating was not crispy, & it was falling apart from the meat. Also, there were some parts that was just coating without meat. Beer that we ordered came after the dish after we reminded them. I do not recommend this place.View more
Loved it. Such great authentic polish food. The place filled within 30 min of opening & with 2 servers on they handled it quite well. I’d definitely recommend.View more
