Great food! Love the dill pickle soup, veal schnitzel, & crepe dessert. 10/10 will recommend.View more
This place is awesome. If you're there during the live piano, it's a lot of fun. It's a relaxed vibe playing fun songs, nothing classical. The service was very good & they turn tables quickly. I had a really hard time deciding what to order because every photo looked great. I ordered the tasing menu & go the Menu du debutant & peach cobbler. I highly recommend Stash.View more
Live pianist, good food with big portions too, recommend 👍View more
Definitely one of our favorite Montreal restaurants now. My wife & I did some research before we return this year & found many recommendations for Stash & we were not disappointed.
We didn't make reservations, but thankfully it was a weeknight & we were able to get in. Love the piano player for the added ambience.
We tried a little bit of almost everything & everything was perfect. This will definitely be a highlight to our trips in the future to Montreal & we recommend anyone trying it out.
Side note: We went to another restaurant a few days later & during a conversation with the chef there they recommended it as their favorite restaurant in Montreal before we even mentioned we had been there.View more
Such a lovely dining experience with authentic Polish cuisine! My hubby & I walked in w/o a reservation on a Saturday evening in March at 8:30pm. Despite still being full, we were seated right away at a cozy window table. Upon walking in, you are greeted with wonderful live music from a very talented piano player right at the entrance. The restaurant is warm & cozy with a red light district vibe with the red lampshades on all the lights. Lovely beamed ceilings & church pew bench seats with a long bar on the side. Our waitress was great, professional, & courteous. We ordered perogies, schnitzel, among other Polish dishes, & yummy cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish & the entire evening. We loved the perogies so much that instead of ordering dessert, we ordered another 8 mushroom perogies to go! I HIGHLY recommend for some authentic Polish cuisine!View more
Amazing greeting, service, food & most importantly, the vybe. There was a guy playing live piano. I would really recommend.View more
I will dream about this place. Everything was perfectly cooked & tasted the way it should. Overall cool vibe & atmopsphere. The only thing was is that.. it was very silent lol. My friend & I felt like we had to whisper. I'd recommend having a little background music. Maybe it was just during the time I was there. Anyways, 10/10 would recommend.View more
Would die for this restaurant. I'm never disappointed when I go. The staff is friendly & the food is always fantastic. Always a bonus when the pianist is there! Definitely recommend eating your weight in pierogi.View more
Great polish food that taste just like it does in Poland. I highly recommend the Stash cafe if you want to taste polish food!View more
The comfort of Polish cuisine makes diners feel warm. Polish cuisine has the salty taste of pickles, the sour taste of fresh apples, the bitter taste of black tea & herbs, & the spicy duck of horseradish mustard. My sister & I chose the following dishes: - Beef Strogonow (main course) ~ $27 - Golabki (main course) ~ $22 - Peach Crumble Cobbler (dessert) ~ $6 - Apple Crumble Cobbler (dessert) ~ $6 - Birra Fanelli Beer ~ $11 Meat has always had a special place on the Polish table for generations. A unique dish is Golabki, stewed cabbage stuffed with pork & rice, served with tomato sauce, potatoes & salad. This dish is a combination of sour, sweet, salty & umami flavors. A simple yet delicious dish. Strogonow is strips of beef fillet in a red wine sauce with mushrooms, served with two potato pancakes & a beetroot salad. This is a dish that everyone should definitely try. The beef is marinated in wine, making it surprisingly tender & delicious. Croustade is a dessert with a choice of apple or peach, covered with the restaurant's homemade sweet cream. It's no surprise that apple pie is one of the most beloved pastries in Poland, with its delicious apple flavor. Since I don't drink beer & I'm not feeling very well, my sister was the only one drinking tonight. Luckily, she got to try their 50th anniversary Birra Fanelli, a light wheat beer with a lemon flavor. My sister described it as having a pleasant golden color, a very aromatic & slightly sour drink, & a very good digestive. Price does not include 15% VAT & 25% tip. Total bill was over $100 for 2 people, a great price if not a steal & I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.View more
Piece of home in montreal. I wish the beet consomme wasn't a consomme & that it wasn't just a broth but it was good. The pierogies were a solid choice. The live pianist was also such a nice touch! Would recommend & go back againView more
We noticed this restaurant on our first day of visiting Old Town & planned to visit it for lunch. My family is very familiar with Polish cuisine & every dish we ordered "tasted like childhood". It's pretty busy place so I would recommend to make reservation. Live piano music enhanced resturant's atmosphere.View more
Some of the best food I've ever had in my life! Generous portions, & short wait time. The waiters were nice, & the piano was a nice addition. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend the Stash Café.View more
In Montreal for work, & found this absolute gem of a place when I wanted something relaxed & delicious. Had pierogi (potato & cheese, with fried onions & sour cream), kielbasa, & small sides of potato salad (the pickle in was a revelation) & beet salad (amazingly fresh). For pudding, had the apple cobbler. Would eat it all again in a heartbeat if I could. Wonderful, friendly staff & service. Highly recommend.View more
This restaurant was amazing! The food, the decor, the service & the guy playing the piano. It all came together for a wonderful dining experience. The beet soup was a great start. The perogis were delicious. The ambiance was just right. It's deep into the old montreal area but worth the trek. Go early as the wait can be long. Without a doubt I highly recommend this place!View more

This beautiful restaurant was perfect, in terms of atmosphere. There were beautiful red lights providing a small amount of light making it feel very cozy & nice. What also added into this were the pretty long chair which was a nice style that went well with the piano playing. The food was really good. The perogies & salad is what I will recommend. The service, as well, was very good! They were ready for all our needs & were very polite when we needed something or they brought something to us. Service is 20/10!!!View more

This is probably one of the best little gems in Montreal. Located in the old port of the city, it doesn't disappoint. Run by a nice family. Every-time I come here, I feel like I am eating a home cook meal. Feels like home, great atmosphere & always amazing food. The live piano player adds the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place.View more
Everything was absolutely delicious. My friend & I split the beef stroganoff & pork schnitzel... I ate every crumb on the plate. The atmosphere is unbeatable. I love the piano player. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!View more
What a great little find! The atmosphere was so cozy; live piano the entire time. The staff was friendly & efficient. But best of all, the food was fantastic! I really enjoyed their tasting platter as well as the beef stroganov. I also really loved their pierogi with beef! I absolutely loved my experience & will recommend to anyone who is looking to try Eastern European food!View more
Walked in right before closing & they took us in. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. Get the herring dish called sledz you won't regret it. The live piano music, cozy decor, & wonderful service just made the entire dinner perfect. I'll recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Montreal.View more
