Review Summary

Starbucks locations are described in the reviews as a mixed bag with a generally warm atmosphere and clean spaces in some branches, while others feel busier and louder. Service is praised when staff are friendly, attentive and efficient, particularly in a lively environment, but many customers report slow and inconsistent service, long waits at the counter or drive-thru, and occasional order errors or missing items. Price and portion size are noted by several readers as issues, with drinks sometimes priced high and cups perceived as smaller than expected, and some complaints about unavailable items that are advertised. Accessibility and space vary, with some locations offering a spacious feel and outdoor seating, while parking and drive-thru queues can create congestion. Mobile ordering helps some customers, and a few branches are singled out for delivering a consistently good chai latte and solid coffee, yet experiences can differ greatly from one branch to another across Montreal and the South Shore.

Great place, nice drinks & great staff, but there are a few problems: 1. There are only curtains on one side of the building. If you sit at the long table in the back in the morning or facing the counter along the wall before the sun sets, you're blinded; 2. There aren't a whole lot of outlets. It would have been nice if there had been some around the fireplace in the center. I'll occasionally go work there & run out of battery before a seat near an outlet becomes available; 3. There's a lot of open space in the middle where they just installed low coffee tables. I think that's a leftover from the social distancing policies... Well, there could be 2-3 more tables to fit more people working -- the location is often filled with people who do that. Alternatively, they could also fit one of those long tables with built-in outlets in that spot; 4. The little round tables are nice looking, but if you want to have a laptop & sheets by the side when you're working, it's a bit tight & your laptop needs to be partly hanging off to the side. Some Starbucks have similar sized tables, but they're square so that tiny bit more space means it's more comfortable to work. Adding curtains where they're missing a few tables would be a pretty cheap improvement. The outlet suggestions would require a fair amount of work, though, but if they ever have to do some renovations for whatever reasons adding some outlets, including in the middle of the store so people can plug in their computers, phones & tablets would be great.
