Overall, our night for 2 was amazing. We went on Friday April 11th from 7pm to 9h30.
Excellent: service was truly amazing (she was funny, kind, attentive), ambiance & vibes were immaculate, our gravlax entrée left us speechless, good portions for tapas style, the matcha crème brûlée wow!, cocktails are expensive (?20$) but definitely worth it, & 3 course for 25$ was a steal. Focaccia was amazing too.
Good: the main dishes lacked a little flavour… the pasta was good, but nothing that can't be whipped up at home under 30 mins.
To be improved: our main dishes took quite a long time to arrive, but understandable as it was busy & the server made sure to check up often.
Disappointed: we were left disappointed by the Asian short ribs that really lacked flavour & sauce. Mainly we were disappointed because the rice was quite undercooked.
But we left this place happy, we ate well, had great cocktails, & for 150$ in total it was worth it (tip & taxes incl.) for 2x 3 courses, 2 cocktails & a beer, foccacia & saucission extra (great portion). We'll come back :)View more

Very well located & very friendly & attentive staff (barman & host/server). I went for 5@7 on a Thursday & tried their $1 oysters & tuna tataki for food. The tuna tataki had a gorgeous presentation, very esthetic & full of texture & flavour too. I do recomemend this place 👍🏻View more

Went here for a girls dinner for a 5à7 on a Thursday. Wednesday's & Thursdays from 5PM-8PM they have $1 oysters & drinks have special pricing. The oysters were okay but the rest was phenomenal! We took the table d'hôte $25 & both beef options were to die for! The pasta was also very good. The staff were also very attentive & kind. Honestly for the price - 100% worth it.View more

via LibroThis is my new favorite place in Montreal! I loved the speakeasy feel from being escorted in to hidden menus in books & the mugshot wall. Our drinks were fantastic, I got the bees knees & my hubby got the old fashioned. Our server David was perfectly attentive & very welcoming & had great recommendations. The food was excellent, we were worried it was going to be too small & expensive but it was actually perfect. It was the right amount of food to fill you up without being overly full & uncomfortable. The cheese plate was divine & more than just hunks of cheese on a plate. We had the shrimp tacos which I'm still craving & the lobster wontons which were perfectly creamy & delightful. Thank you le speakeasy for an excellent experience, we will be back!
