Souvlaki Bar specializes in authentic Greek cuisine focused on high-quality grilled meats and traditional Mediterranean flavors. The menu prominently features seasoned souvlaki skewers, shaved gyros, and tender bifteki, all prepared with signature marinades and fresh, aromatic herbs. Guests select from various platters accompanied by creamy tzatziki, fluffy pita bread, and crisp village salads made with vine-ripened tomatoes and feta cheese. The culinary approach emphasizes bold, charred flavor profiles achieved through open-flame grilling techniques consistent with classic Hellenic street food traditions. Practical side dishes like lemon potatoes and savory rice pilaf complement the protein-centric entrees served throughout the space. The vibrant atmosphere remains centered on efficient service and the consistent delivery of charcoal-grilled favorites that define the brand identity. Every component reflects a dedication to maintaining genuine Greek culinary standards within a modern and accessible environment.
Souvlaki Bar generally receives praise for its generous portion sizes and flavorful Greek dishes, with many patrons highlighting the quality of the souvlaki, grilled meats, and tzatziki. Guests often appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and the friendly, welcoming nature of specific staff members who contribute to a pleasant dining experience. While experiences can vary depending on the visit and the specific branch, many diners find the restaurant to be a reliable spot for an affordable and satisfying meal, often recommending it for its authentic taste and lively environment.
We were there on what would become a busy evening due to the Santana cover band that would be playing outside at 8:00, so we arrived at about 5:45. We arrived with most of our party. There was a bit of a line, but we were shown to our table after a few minutes. Menu & water came soon. A server came by at one point to ask if we had any questions. After that we didn't see them for the longest time, even after the missing people arrived. The place was filling up & there was a long line most if the time.
I had a pork souvlaki pita & a couple of my husband's potatoe wedges. I didn't care for them. They were soft & seemed to have been boiled in chicken broth. Not much flavor. The souvlaki was okay, but the chunks of meat were larger than I am used to & a bit on the tougher side (i.e. hard to take a bite without the whole piece of meat coming out). I deconstructed it so I could cut up the meat. I didn't enjoy it as much as at other restaurants & wouldn't order it again, but perhaps a chicken brochette with fries would have been more to my liking.
For dessert we ordered one portion of baklava cake which our friends recommended Another server set baklava in front of us. My husband put his fork in it before I could say I would ask them to change it, so we kept it. It was good - thick & crispy, with the honey sauce flowing on the plate. By the time we were all paid up it was 7:45.
The half grilled chicken was not great!
Something was off. The greek potatoes tasted old. The Cook should ask Arahova how they make their grilled chicken. It is my third time here & was disappointed every time.
Sitting at the bar because the restaurant is full as it's a Place Bell event night, that's ok…. We accepted because we only had an hour to eat.
I order my plate, 1 chicken stick.
Find out that I can only the salad as a side as all other options have gluten. I ask the waiter if I can have all sides replaced by a HUGE salad. He said I will order the salad & the stick separately - it will come out at a better price for you. (Which I appreciated)
I took the time to ask if the salad was big. His answer was that it is big.
I was so disappointed when I received my 2 small plates.
You need to understand that when we can't eat gluten, we need food for us to be full.
Not a small salad.
The waiter did not come to see us at all to make sure was everything was ok. I understand it's a busy night, but we were sitting right in front of their working station.
By the time the waiter came, I mentioned how disappointed I was, he did offer to give me a bit more salad - but it was too late. I had finished my plate 5-10m ago.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Souvlaki Bar Laval, & it was an outstanding/amazing experience from start to finish!
To begin, I ordered the Loukaniko sausage appetizers, which were absolutely delicious- a great introduction to the meal.
Main course, I enjoyed the Chicken Souvlaki Plate, & it truly exceeded expectations. The chicken was tender & done to perfection - along with the salad which had an amazing salad dressing! Rice was amazing & flavorful!
The atmosphere in the heart of Centropolis Laval is vibrant & welcoming, making it an ideal spot for both casual outings & special occasions. The staff were friendly, attentive, & provided exceptional service throughout the evening.
Overall, this was an absolutely outstanding first-time dining experience here. I would highly recommend Souvlaki Bar Laval to anyone looking for authentic high-quality Greek cuisine in a lively setting. I will definitely be returning someday!
Poor food quality. We ordered The Bowl through Uber Eats, & this is what my plate looked like: $20 for half a container, barely any chicken, almost no rice or salad, & mostly onions. The food was soggy & very poorly portioned.
On top of that, the manager gave us attitude & offered no solution or compensation. We had to file a complaint with Uber Eats, & unfortunately, Uber refused to issue a refund.
Very disappointing experience overall. Never again. Happy New Year.
A go-to spot for a comforting, fulfilling, & reasonably priced meal. The Meat-Shovels for two was an excellent value.
The Greek style chicken was my wife's must-have dish.
This is my favorite Greek restaurant & I never had to complain on the food. Last night though I was disappointed. One chicken stick, potatoes & salad, didn't want the rice. The potatoes seemed just cut, no spice. The chicken lacked spices & juice. The tzatiki had no salt, very bland. My salad had no salt & was very bland. I don't know if the regular chef was in vacation but my meal was missing that Souvlaki Bar special unique taste. Service was great & the staff are wonderful.
Great Greek food at Centrpolis Laval. We've been coming since they first opened.
Their Greek potatoes & gyros & souvlakis are delicious.
They even have lunch specials which iare a great deal. We had the chicken pita trio, which came with a drink & salad, & the meat shovel meal for one. Mixed chicken & pork gyro meat is presented in a small shovel with Greek potatoes & pita, & a huge portion of salad.
Great ambience & very spacious, with a terrasse & an upper floor.
